Can you imagine the narrative if we traded for a 'Baker' - Bailey Williams is a good example from the current list - for pick 3?

I've got a couple of Richmond supporting mates who say that Baker is a decent player in a good team but hardly a difference maker.

He carries on like a peanut on-field (and always has), he changed WAFL clubs after turning 18 (blamed West Perth for not 'getting him drafted') and left Richmond who helped him win a few flags (to be fair, he helped them) as soon as the tide turned for a big $ offer back home?

Would love this explained to me.

Our W team had a similar exodus 12 months ago. Then we had a preseason where the near-unanimous prediction was that we were a shoe-in for the spoon and probably wouldn't win a game, only to win 4

I haven't followed Richmond closely enough to really comment on their list (other to say that flogging them in all our recent games has been fun as hell!), but if the players can't commit to their club, the club ought to chuck them and get in players who will fight for their colours. Might hurt a bit initially, but in the long run I reckon they'd be better for it.

The media over there must know to keep in good with the Eagles because that was a couple of complete stuff ups. They got a few things wrong.

I am old school when it comes to players being approached during the season, but Captains is even worse. Let the player managers make some inquiries, but players should not be involved, or coaches. How will Oscar now lead the team with players not trusting he has his heart in the job.

I'm sure clubs are sounding out Bont, probably through his manager, but could you imagine the noise it would make if Bont was seen having a meal with say Ross Lyon?
It will be interesting to see how the Eagles players handle it.
