Interesting AFL site reporting that Horne-Francis is putting in a trade request to Port.

Obviously serious doubts around Clarko, looks like he could be first off the ship.

It's a very poor request from Horne-Francis and I can't think of too many professional sports that accept this nonsense from their athletes. He never checked into North and I doubt the Clarkson situation ever factored into his decision.

Port will try and get him on the cheap but it should be their first rounder this year and next and North will still be receiving unders.

Dunkley for all his carry on rocked up with the right mindset throughout this season.

I did see on twitter prior to JHF news that Tarryn Thomas is rumoured to have asked for a trade also. Trade radio will actually have something to talk about this year...

Some club might be able to get the best out of Thomas and I wonder what a club would have to give up to get him?
A genuine forward like Thomas should tempt us.

JHF is an embarrassment.

The way he's acted and sulked, his sense of entitlement - I care little for North, but they deserve better than this baby.

Spot on. You want to play AFL, then you go where you are drafted and sit out your contract, be professional and put in 100%.

So he should have said "if an interstate team drafts me I'm not going"?

How about a low start to test the water: Pick 37, Lachie Hunter, $150,000 per season towards salary. Was there a rumour on Schache to North too. If so, steak knife bonus.

But… If the rumours are true, if TT says it’s Clarkson related, his trade value drops a fair bit.

McAsey heading to Victoria today to meet with a club. Adelaide list boss seems to hint that it’s not Carlton as rumoured earlier in the year.

We’ve been linked to just about every possible KPD. Jones, Collins, Tomlinson. Would we have any interest? Former top 10 pick, a bulldogs supporter and he hasn’t delivered so far.

From what I have heard McAsey hasn't even performed strongly in the sanfl so would we would be more or less taking a chance on a mature draftee. I wouldnt say no but if he was 190cm would anyone be interested?

I read plenty of commentary about JHF being a flight risk that would likely return to South Australia at the first opportunity.

It's a tough situation. Clubs at the bottom need to bring in top end talent but are typically not one of the better organised clubs.
Players on the talent pathway are made aware of the risks that go with the territory of entering a draft but while they understand it some of them don't think it should apply to them.

North need to say to Port we want pick 8 and your future 1st or pick 8, a suitable player and your future 2nd.
Would Drew be forced of being a regular player out if Horne Francis was to arrive?
