What a joke if that’s the case.
    Don't underestimate Sammy Power DG.

      Out: Dunkley, Cordy
Barrett thinks GWS are open to trading Haynes (and Whitfield).

Feels like this is part 1 of a broader move from Brisbane. They need to stock up some points too so probably their priority is making sure they get their f/s then Dunks.

Certainly, based on Power's comments on Monday, reckon there'll be a player involved. Not sure where Brisbane have the depth/quality to send us something we want but let's see.

Thats a salary dump because both are still being paid like they are at their peak

Yep. In the end GWS would probably prefer to keep Hopper and lose one of Haynes or Whitfield. If Richmond can't satisfy GWS on Hopper then they could move one of them instead.

Should we try and get involved in this. Pick 2 would be nice

Eagles put pick No.2 on the table

West Coast are testing the waters with pick No.2, according to News Corp.
The Eagles are not giving up on Luke Jackson with pick No.2 likely to be involved in trade discussions with Melbourne if the gun ruckman is open to joining the club.

But even if Jackson opts for Freo then the Eagles are open to splitting their pick 2 to bring in more young talent.

                Hmmm.

GWS giving up a Future Second for a mere 5 pick upgrade from 21 into 15 this year in isolation seems a little limited. When considering they had 3, 12, 19 & 21 and more from Hopper.

That's what has me thinking that perhaps there's more to that pick trade. Salary dumping Haynes in the mix seems to make more sense, if there's a slight upgrade this year into the first round and a lesser downgrade next year through the trade. That leaves them notionally ahead and free (or mostly free) of the big salary. That's a pretty good outcome for GWS.

I'm just trying to nut out this trade with GWS. It's clearly opening something more broadly for Brisbane and by extension us.

I'd hazard a guess GWS is already the favourite. They have 12, 15 & 19 (plus Hopper picks) to package up. This is their normal 'move'.

Can't imagine we can get into that with our picks. Unless Tim English is on the table.......

Huge pass on Nick Haynes. His body is on par with Alex Keath.

I think Haynes is done as an AFL force, and Whitfield fails the 'no dickhead' policy.

Whitfield hid from asada drug testers - it was some years ago now but thoroughly agree on jazzadogs opinion Whitfield fails the No DH policy.

That's true. He should have waved a bag on camera and flashed his cocaine tongue to remove all doubt .

That being said he most definitely fails the no dickhead test.
