Re: 2023 AFL Finals Series
Not sure there's much to complain about.
Umpiring wasn't amazing, however I don't think it favoured either side.
The call at the end to play on advantage was a bad mistake no doubt.BT COME BACK!

Re: 2023 AFL Finals Series
2. It was more than 1 decision that was influenced. Eg Nick daicos ducking free for . Wilmot ducking free against.
3. No doubt the crowd had an influence with us in 2015 but that happens for Collingwood weekly.
4. Arguable whether the best side won today not in 2016.Comment

Since when do free numbers indicate who got the better of the umpiring? Maybe Collingwood knew they could get away with more?Comment

1. we didn’t win one final by less than a goal let alone 3 finals.

Some big name Lions players weren’t up to it today eg. Neale, Cameron, Hipwood, Berry and even Dunks.Comment

Re: 2023 AFL Finals Series
It was an amazing match of unbelievably high quality. I wanted the Pies to win. Yes just to spite Dosh Junkley. I’m like that. I was happy for Lippa. It was understandable he wanted greater opportunities. He played his role today.
But for us I was left wondering about how far away we are. Who would have kicked the monster goals that Crisp and Sidebottom did? How badly do we need a quick, crumbing forward? How would we have managed if one of our two defensive pillars went off in the first quarter? Is our fitness anywhere near the desired standard given that both teams ran the match out despite the heat?
I saw Collingwood win without a dominant big guy in the forward line. I noticed how often they just gained territory, tapping it forward to each other. Having won 3 finals by such small margins, they absolutely know how to close it out, something we seem unable to do.
With no word on the “blah-blah-blah” review I wish I could feel confident that we can have a game plan and 100% commitment to each other as a team that will see us up there soon, but today gave me a sinking feeling that we’re a long …..long…way off.www.bulldogtragician.com A blog about being a lifelong fan of the Dogs and our quixotic attempt to replicate 1954. I mean, kid+ premiership>kid and no premiership. Don't think it's a big deal[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Comment
