Regarding the club member areas. It'd be interesting to know how much allocation both clubs got but it's our first final in Melbourne since 2016 and the Hawks first since 2018.

I'm still surprised it's a sell-out nonetheless. I was thinking 70-80k. But at the same time I was shocked to see saints v giants get 60k last year at the mcg.
Come Friday night to the crowd to be in the 80K range.
More of an In Bruges guy?

      I think 90k unless it's raining. Then probably 80k.

Yeah, I really think it'll be 85k+ and probably will tip 90k if the weather is half way decent. Atmosphere is going to be electric.

Will be my first Melb final I've missed since I attended my first in 1985.

Was going to take my 8yo to his 1st final.

          ****ing shattered!
          That sucks mate.

The stress this causes 'us' is genuinely hard to describe to those who just 'follow' the footy...

I'll be queuing up in front of the MCC members gate a couple of hours before the game so that we can go in and get Level 2 centre wing like we did for the 2016 semi v Hawthorn.
My son isn't MCC yet so it going with another relative, who had similar barcode issues but fortunately they nabbed a spot on level 4 behind the goals. Ticketek and Ticketmaster.....literally their entire purpose is selling tickets to events, and this stuff happens each and every time.

87k showed up in 2016 v Hawks, so yes at least that

As per a post that follows, I did end up getting tickets.

                Stressful process none the less.

Fingers crossed Geelong lose and we get the dub. Despite all the bullshit and stress, it'd end up being a decent deal.

That whole rhetoric is self-fulfilling prophecy stuff. If you put a cereal on the shelves with thirty facings at eye level, it?ll sell better than the cereal with one facing on the bottom shelf.

The AFL?s policies are backwards and short-sighted. They seem more geared to hit quotas for exec. bonuses today- than growing the competition evenly and more sustainably.

Yep! And the one time they trial a stand alone game for smaller clubs - Good Friday - it gets ripped away and given to a bigger club, then diluted anyway. I'm still filthy over that. It could've evolved into a great marquee game which for us is sorely needed as we don't have one at all, yet every other Vic club gets one.

After failing to get us tickets to the GWS game I would have been in the dog house if I had failed again!

Luckily we will both be there.
