I am as high as a kite about this game and really looking forward to watching it at the local pub tomorrow night. Don't know why, it is going to be a very difficult game to win.
I will be watching it at Hart's Hotel, Victoria Street, Footscray. The publican is none other than Peter German, who has strong connections to us of course from the Williamstown VFL partnership days when he served as senior coach for Williamstown and development coach for the Bulldogs.
Western Bulldogs by 1 point
1st Goal: Jake Stringer.
BOG: Mitch Wallis.

I'd love to be confident, but we're light on in the midfield with some seriously raw players (Dale, Webb, McLean). Hope we're competitive.
Port by 22
BOG Wallis
First goal Boyd
We are going to miss Picken. That's a really bad out for us.
I count six mids with more than two preseasons Wallis, Macrae, Stevens, Dahlhaus, Jong and Hrovat. Seven if you count M. Boyd. Then there's Stringer, Dickson and Crameri and the three kids so we are very light on.
It looks like we will try and stretch them forward with Roughie and Boyd as targets. And keep our defensive structure and attack from there.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Unfortunately i share those sentiments. . Familiar feeling for Dogs fan: expecting a beating, boping for the best!

Thought Honeychurch might add more bite than Dale, not sure why he is in front of him, another selection head scratcher to me.
Port by 48 pts, they'll come good tonight unfortunately.
Dickson first goal
I'll go with Wallis for BOG.
Honeychurch hasn't played since he was subbed out a few weeks back. I think we may have learnt that with the younger blokes we can can't bring them straight back in and expect them to perform at the same level they were performing at previously.
