These are very much development years for Talia and he is outside of the system which won't help him unless he is very driven to get as fit as he can and work on his flaws so that he can impress the hell out of potential clubs.

Lets see if he has the drive to work his way back or if he hopes his surname gets him there in the end.

Playing NEAFL wouldn't have helped him stay front of mind for recruiting staff these past couple of years, the standard just isn't there and in my view going to a club that places you as a regular in that competition is a genuine trap for any borderline AFL quality player to fall into. You'd get better challenges in the Ammos or EFL (though without the professional training, of course).

Going to SA is a good move for him however, now he's out of the AFL system his weaknesses are going to count against him more than they ever had. What type of AFL list picks up a dud kick with handling issues as an already tried mature age player, from the next tier down?

His kicking is a little sus, but good hands and is only 21 years old
