The tactics on JJ were very effective - no issue at all with what the Swans did to him. Expect to see a lot more of this moving forward.
Some of the efforts were just abysmal. It's now the blueprint on how to play on JJ

I suspect he's just had a very bad night.
Everyone has bad nights but why was he spiritless? Why were his team mates spiritless? It just looked 'off' - nobody was interested in standing up for him.

I'm concerned about Adams. Not even coming to sit on the pine the last half.

I think we are gone and will struggle to make the eight. Can Bevo find a way to lead us out of this slump or is Bevo also struggling with tactics and selections?
I don't like the comparison because it diminishes last seasons outstanding result as a bit of a fluke. I tend to think we traded poorly and have tended to mess around with selections. We also haven't improved our foot skills.

I wouldn't write Bevo off on getting us back on track but it's to happen soon.

Hard to stomach that you were just owned my George Hewitt. George F**ken Hewitt.
Agree with this, and it goes for Jong too. Each of those blokes just passively accepted the bumps etc. I expect our players to either up their intensity at the contest, or bite back, hard. No one made them accountable for it. I get that footy is different from when and where I played, but I would've gouged Jones' eyes out in a pack for his bullshit niggle.

Even though we've not been at our best, we have been nothing short of honest in every game this year until tonight - whilst I'm really disappointed with our performance I'm prepared to write it off as a collective shocker, which to be fair the players have hardly delivered in 2 and a 1/2 years under Bevo. And it came after a very strong performance against St Kilda, which to be frank we let slip a potential 10 goal win.

I expect to see a strong response next week.

Well that was a bad one. Did not look like it tonight. There were some brief moments in the 2nd and 3rd quarters that looked a bit more promising but the negatives outnumbered the positives.

The good: Dahlhaus, Wallis, Adams when he was playing and Mclean in the 1st quarter looked quite good.

The bad: M Boyd could be nearer the end very shortly, Cloke and Stringer very poor tonight - Stringer the opposite pretty much compared to the last game where he kicked 5 and look really good up forward. Bonti and Picko are out of form.

We did not have clean hands tonight and dropped the ball quite a lot and the turnovers no good.

We have a lot to do to get out of this hole and hopefully this is an abberation like the Cats game around this time last year and we get on with it and push on and get into the 8 first and foremost before thinking of the top 4 until we are in a position to get in there.

We beat the Saudis 3-2 so all was not lost tonight.

But yeah, Adams injury is not good. Particularly if Morris is out for more than the 1 week.

It's not so much the loss that worries me, it's the way we lost Sedat. We were bullied and rolled over - it was bizarre and embarrassing.

100% record at home this year (Etihad and Round 1 at the MCG) so really string chance we bounce back next week - our next 3 matches are at home, 0% record away and I thought tonight was the night but it wasn't to be. The Crows in Adelaide in Round 16 is our next opportunity but that will be really tough especially if we play like we did tonight.

There would want to be. I'm taking my son next week and need to be respectable. A performance like that again would probably put the bad parenting label on me.
