Everyone has bad nights but why was he spiritless? Why were his team mates spiritless? It just looked 'off' - nobody was interested in standing up for him.W00F!Comment

I'm concerned about Adams. Not even coming to sit on the pine the last half.Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment

Are we similar to Hawthorn in '08 and '09?Snatching an unlikely flag then dropping off significantly the following year? Or can we find some form coming into the 2nd half of the year? I think we are gone and will struggle to make the eight. Can Bevo find a way to lead us out of this slump or is Bevo also struggling with tactics and selections?
I wouldn't write Bevo off on getting us back on track but it's to happen soon.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

A few have commented on the lack of protection for JJ. Fair enough but I was really annoyed at JJ's feeble acceptance of his treatment. I know it's not in his character but FFS show some fight man. Thanks to your (lack of) response you can now expect every team to adopt the same approach. Hard to stomach that you were just owned my George Hewitt. Even though we've not been at our best, we have been nothing short of honest in every game this year until tonight - whilst I'm really disappointed with our performance I'm prepared to write it off as a collective shocker, which to be fair the players have hardly delivered in 2 and a 1/2 years under Bevo. And it came after a very strong performance against St Kilda, which to be frank we let slip a potential 10 goal win.
I expect to see a strong response next week."Look at me mate. Look at me. I'm flyin'"Comment

Well that was a bad one. Did not look like it tonight. There were some brief moments in the 2nd and 3rd quarters that looked a bit more promising but the negatives outnumbered the positives.
The good: Dahlhaus, Wallis, Adams when he was playing and Mclean in the 1st quarter looked quite good.
The bad: M Boyd could be nearer the end very shortly, Cloke and Stringer very poor tonight - Stringer the opposite pretty much compared to the last game where he kicked 5 and look really good up forward. Bonti and Picko are out of form.
We did not have clean hands tonight and dropped the ball quite a lot and the turnovers no good.
We have a lot to do to get out of this hole and hopefully this is an abberation like the Cats game around this time last year and we get on with it and push on and get into the 8 first and foremost before thinking of the top 4 until we are in a position to get in there."Footscray people are incredible people; so humble. It's not so much the loss that worries me, it's the way we lost Sedat. We were bullied and rolled over - it was bizarre and embarrassing.W00F!Comment
