I think we were a little small on Saturday, especially once JOD went down and we had no cover back there. so hopefully both Buku and Gardner are added for height.

Dolan did some nice things and will be a player, but he still needs to build up his body and fitness base so we can take it slow with him. i'm ok with moving Dolan into the sub role for this week, might suit coming on when a bit of the heat is out of the game and can have an impact in the 2nd half. Either Arty Jones or Garcia into the 22 for a bit more run and versatility. Gallagher's run and defensive side is nice, but his disposal is a real concern.

IN - Gardner, Buku, Garcia (or Jones into 22)
Out - Cleary, JOD, Gallagher or Dolan (to sub)
In this scenario we are losing 3 defenders and only bringing back 2 to replace them. I think Gags stays.

Khamis comes in, some key tall back-up, a little bit of Freijah if he goes inside, and a little bit of Cleary replacement. Just please, don't butcher the footy.
Pies forwards are the perfect chance for Buss to debut. If not now, when? If he can't hold his own on Membery, then........
Gallagher is out. When you play that poorly, there have to be consequences, no matter the injuries.
Garcia has to play; Sanders's time forward was far more effective than his inside time.
Holding off on Gardner for now, Pies don't have the ttalls to warrant it.

      Backs:

      Buss - Lobb - Freijah - Duyrea - Dale - Bramble - (Khamis)

      Outside:
      Williams - Davidson

      Inside:
      Libba - Mennedy - Richards - (Sanders - Garcia)

      Ruck:
      English

      Forwards:
      Darcy - Naughton - VDM - McNeil - Harmes - West - (Dolan)

      Sub: Arty

      In the Mix: L Kennedy - Hynes - Gallagher - Gardner -

      Relevant Injury: Marra - Trelor - JJ - Weightman - L Jones - Bont - JOD - Cleary - Jaques

Is Coffield fit to play at the moment? He seems to have totally dropped off the map... we need someone to replace Cleary and I don't really trust Buku all that much. Otherwise I'd go Gardner there.

Unfortunately Busslinger played poorly in the VFL praccy and won't get a look in.
Khamis went well and will play next week.

          Out: O'Donnell, Cleary, Dolan
          In: Khamis, Garcia, Baker

Gags doesn't get dropped. He's in that category for the coach.
Williams plays back, Baker takes the wing.

Bugger. So, Gardner is in for JOD and Khamis for Cleary. Arty still sub.

Garcia is injured and O'Donnell is a reasonable chance to play

Any consideration that Lobb is unable to go??
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

It is our home game. Announced when the fixture came out. They also sent out notice to every member to lock in their seat in Ticketek.

Sorry I should have mentioned I have Arty to the wing and Bailey Williams moves down back.

So defenders Lobb, Gardy, Buku, Duryea, Dale, Bailey Williams, Bramble and partly Freijah (mid rotations too).

We need someone running with N. Daicos, can't let him run around free all night. If Gags stays in he might be the right fit for this role or alternatively West, maybe a job for Freijah (although I would rather he be free to chase the ball).

Anyone watch or know how the VFL practice game went? Wondering if anyone is demanding a spot with their performance. Buss? Garcia? Buku?

Good news JOD will most likely play.

                So one change for me:

                Out Cleary
                In: Buku

Code Sports has predicted this line up for us

B: Lachie Bramble, Ryan Gardner, Buku Khamis
HB: Bailey Dale, Rory Lobb, Taylor Duryea
C: Joel Freijah, Matt Kennedy, Bailey Williams
HF: Laitham Vandermeer, Aaron Naughton, James Harmes
F: Rhylee West, Sam Darcy, Lachie McNeil
FOL: Tim English, Ed Richards, Tom Liberatore
INT: Harvey Gallagher, Ryley Sanders, Sam Davidson, Josh Dolan, Oskar Baker
                  IN: Gardner, Khamis, Baker
OUT: Cleary (concussion), O’Donnell (jaw), A Jones (sub)

Unavailable: Marcus Bontempelli (calf), Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (personal), Liam Jones (hamstring), Adam Treloar (calf), Cody Weightman (knee), Luke Cleary (concussion), James O’Donnell (jaw), Anthony Scott (knee), Lachie Jaques (thigh)

Luke Beveridge will need to turn to two more defenders to combat Collingwood’s tall trio after losing Luke Cleary and James O’Donnell.Untried former No. 13 pick Jedd Busslinger is an option, but Buku Khamis still appears ahead in the pecking order as an interceptor, while Ryan Gardner is an experienced lockdown tall to help Khamis and Rory Lobb. Debutants Sam Davidson and Josh Dolan had enough nice moments in the 16-point win to earn another crack.

After what happened in the first quarter the last time we played the Pies I don't want Gallagher even looking at Daicos. He absolutely destroyed him that game.

Maybe he learned some stuff? It's been known to happen!

Better a bad plan than no plan at all...Giant's didn't mess about - sat on N. Daicos from the start. Surely (please be to the lord above) we've learned...
