Gut feel is that wr played one tall too many on the Friday. Maybe they could rest Naughton

Baker I suspect. Just checking now to see if he is training.

Baker and Gallagher at risk out of that group. Baker, will be sore, so that is easy. MC love Gallagher, so it won't be him.......

I feel we need to play the extra tall forward given said talls are very mobile, and especially given our small/ medium forwards aren't big possession/ lead up players.

We also need some coverage for when Darcy & Naughton are either in the ruck or resting... I feel the mix was pretty good on Friday and feel we need to continue down that path.

My feeling is there will be no change. But, if there were to be one change it would more likely be Cleary in for Baker. I'm moving faster than Doc at the moment.

I think Gallagher is playing well and getting better and better each week. Agree with Critter, if Baker is injured, then Cleary should come in, but no other change.

Sean Darcy likely to return to the WAFL this week rather than straight back to AFL level.

Jaeger O'Meara will be available and Nat Fyfe and Hayden Young a chance to return.

You would think he would have to be in the conversation he didn't do a lot wrong before he got knocked out.

I hope I'm wrong but win or lose, we are gonna get absolutely demolished at clearance if one of Young or Fyfe come in. If it's both, then even more so.

We have proven this year we can win/be competitive without winning clearance and contested footy but whether we win or lose, that midfield is going to tear us a new one.

                          ??? Why???

I watched Fyfe play last weekend vs Subi. Let me tell you right now - I'm not scared of him coming in...Brodie was their best player in that game (well, Reidy was but he was playing against a 4th stringer) and I think there is zero chance of him playing.

Young has been out for a few weeks...I get he's a good player but what's the concern???

Serong, Brayshaw. O'Meara was their best in week 1 and good in week 2 so you would think he would play. Young will play if available. Johnson and Erasmus are kids really just making their way - O'Driscoll is a bit better than them but again, just making his way.

Liber, Richards and Kennedy are up for the fight. It's gonna be OK.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Firstly, we all collectively said the exact same thing about Fyfe last year and then he had a career day out against us.

Secondly, as most importantly, I say all of this because we've already been well beaten or barely stayed even against worse midfield brigades than what Freo will run out with.

North: Xerri, LDU, Powell, Parker, Sheezel, Sympkin, Phillips
Collingwood: Cameron, Daicos, Long, Sidebottom, Pendelbury, De Goey, McCreery
Carlton: TDK, Cripps, Hewett, Walsh, Cerra, Motlop
Freo (based of my selection assumptions and round 1-3 data):
Jackson, Serong, O'Meara, Brayshaw, Bolton, Young, Fyfe

Fyfe got the 3 Brownlow votes against us in round 8 last year and he's obviously been a champion player.

However, these are the only Brownlow votes he has had in the last three seasons. He was ordinary against us later in the season in round 15 and he is now 33 years old.

We shouldn't really be fearing his return.
