Yes agree but both are not ruckman. We should have still had Sweet on the list
    BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

McNeil out is a shame but VDM & Harmes hopefully back is nice, hopefully they’re both genuinely 100% or I wouldn’t play them or at least not both - as they’re both making a habit of going down early lately and it really puts the rest of the team out on their feet.

Still think we need a genuine and experienced forward to split the defence, and Lobb is the only option. His fwd craft will be crucial against the GWS talls - as others have said Buku/JOD might make things worse there not better

        In: Buss, Harmes, VDM
        Out: Darcy, Buku, Mcneil

        Jones, JOD, Buss down back,
Naughty, Lobb fwd with a rotation of Bont, Kennedy, Williams, Davo as the 3rd tall.
Hynes sub again (played most of the game last week anyway so won’t hurt his development)

Decently strong line up all things considered

When Lobb played forward for us he looked like he'd never played footy before.

He's an absolute marvel in the backline, I wouldn't be moving him at all.

            Keep it simple for mine:

            In Harmes, Vanders
            Out Mc Neil and Darcy

Leave Buku forward, but consider during the game whether that needs to change.

Bang on. Appreciate Buku didn't get a goal, but I thought he was ok as a forward. Got some ball, linked well and most importantly didn't get in Naughtons way!

And Buku rucked ok. I think he is an ok back up ruck. IMO his kyrptonite is ground ball & as ruck he is not as exposed.

GWS have a lot of very big bodies, some of our younger kids are going to find it tough this week, Harmes will be a very welcome inclusion.

Our mids will have to at least break even with GWS if we hope to win, its going to be a low scoring game.

Our midifeld is better than theirs, they just got beaten by the Crows mids who are also inferior to ours. They should be the ones hoping to break even.

It's their forwards (if Hogan plays) and their excellent defence that is more of a concern for mine.

Yeah, I like that set up, but based on Bevos comments, sounds like Lobb stays back unless needed.
But agree, would like to see Buss in, and Lobb forward/ruck.

Yeah I’d be surprised if Bevo moves Lobb, and can understand why he doesn’t want to - I don’t either -Just feel the Buss def/Lobb fwd combo has more upside for the rest of the year over a Lobb def, Buku/Jod fwd combo.

If it was just a 1-3 week thing then sure make do with the makeshift fwd line. But we have to think this is a long term thing now and make a move with an eye on the rest of the season. Also hopefully if Buss comes on it lessens our reliance on Lobb/Jones down back going forward too when Darc is back.

but yeah doesn’t sound like Bevo will go that way, although I’m reluctant to take him at his word at this stage, I think he’d like the idea of keeping it under wraps this week and not allowing GWS to plan for what we do. Would not surprise me in the slightest if Lobb trains back all week and then at the first bounce is lined up at CHF - Bevo will love the funny buggers he has up his sleeve to at least get one little upper hand in week 1 of FWOD (football without Darcy )

I've noticed a lot of people saying McNeil is gonna get dropped. Am I the only one who thinks his deserves to stay in?

He suffered a hamstring strain. Out for at least a week I think. Agree he was ok too.
