          Massive danger game.

This game will make or break my confidence for the season. Port has been cooking us of late. Would love to get the win!

Port has almost exclusively cooked us in the middle and especially with their spread from the midfield with quick midfielders, has been our cryptonite over the years. Not this year though, with Richards, Freijah & Kennedy (not quick but good defensively) changing things up in there hopefully it’s not as big an issue.

Sweet embarrassed English last time too, absolutely cooked him in the middle - but I suspect with English’s new found intent to take front position and actually contest in the ruck, I think he’ll get one back over Sweet this time around. I wouldn’t be surprised if English got a rocket a few weeks ago and was told he wasn’t far off being dropped etc because the shift in his mindset has been quite obvious

I always feel more confident with us being the underdogs, have been prone to let downs in the past in games like this when favourite...

Adam Treloar will play his first game of the 2025 Toyota AFL season against Port Adelaide at Mars Stadium this Saturday afternoon.

The 32-year-old will be keen to jump straight back into the action after an injury-interrupted pre-season, having cleared his final fitness test on Thursday to become available for selection.

Lachie McNeil will also return after missing the last two games with a hamstring complaint.

The duo come in at the expense of first-year Dogs Josh Dolan (managed) and Cooper Hynes (omitted).

Last week’s debutant Jedd Busslinger has held his spot in the side, while Jason Johannisen will notch up his 200th career game.

Johannisen was initially drafted as a rookie in 2010 with Pick 39, and has since forged a reputation as a hard-working, speedy and reliable player.

Northerly/NNWest gusts and winds strengthening at Ballarat across open ground. Toss a big factor scoring qtr to qtr.

Our best on ground: Tough to split but Richards, Davidson, Freijah likely up in the votes.
