Yeah disappointing, we’re just not good when it matters and haven’t been for quite a while now. Dunno what to say, we have one wood and it’s dominating clearances when it doesn’t happen we actually ****ing suck, can’t move the ball from the backline, can’t enter the forward 50, can’t ****ing finish in front of goal, all the cracks are just papered over by our ridiculously, record breakingly good stoppage game - but when teams match us there yeah we’re no where.

wasnt confident tonight but I’m pretty pissed with that effort tbh, just can’t step up and take ourselves from a decent side who can win big to a genuinely, good side.

backline is a ****ing mess, I’m ready to throw the toys out the pram in regards to the backline. No more Gardner no more bramble no more doc, Cleary, baker. They’re just not afl standard and we try ro make it work because they get protected by a good midfield. No more. Play Jacques, Sellwood, Buss whoever I don’t care they’re not gonna be any worse and at least they have some sort of upside

The Hawks coming in with a bit of heat through the week and us coming off a bye was never going to be a good outcome. The VFL will be interesting to see who puts their hand up. I hope Jones has a blinder and may be Sellwood can take Bramble or Cleary's spot.

Have we ever won after a bye?

So disappointing. Whenever we need to kick a goal - we miss. Sanders, Lobb, English in the last
English in the first. West also early on with a snap that just snuck in for a point.

We were really poor tonight. So disappointing. Big games and we go to water. Inconsistency is our mantra.
We should have beaten Geelong and then we turn up this tripe.

Our bottom 6 are not up to it. We MIGHT make the eight but that is as far as we will go.

lol at everyone saying Buss turns it over too much so Gardner is the right choice, incoming 5 touches at 20% DE

Gardner makes Buss look like Leon Cameron by foot

Just a poor call by MC, one I’ve thought we’d moved past too

Ed only had 9 touches in the second half, Libba only 14 for the game, not sure what was happening there . In the end we lost by a poor start in the first and it was even for the rest of the game.

We just haven't been able to beat any good teams this year despite being close. Our performances in big games are beginning to be a worry as well, doesn't help we don't play a lot of them, but it's been a bit of a trend. I think we are flat track bullies and should get a lot of wins in the back end of the year but I'm not sure they count for much in terms of contending. That was one of the most disappointing nights as a Dogs fan since that elimination final. Good team (I think) but so far not a great team that looks to be a threat. Obviously hope I'm wrong. We also need to adress Naughton who is hard to watch. I've always been Naughton fwd but he might need to go back to get something going.

It better come out that Libba was carrying an injury, because his management tonight was appalling. Without looking at the stats, I can count on 1 hand the amount of centre bounces he attended. Having him start at half back is laughable. It's not like Bont was dominating for us. Move him forward and go with Libba Kennedy and Richards. Ridiculous.

West has been massive but that was a horrible night for him. I thought he was past that.

The less said about Naughton the better. Really concerning.

That was finals like pressure, for the second match in a row, and we crumbled again. If we make finals and play like that, we’re out in the first week.

I was surprised, the stats looked a lot more even than it felt. We didn’t seem to take a mark all night, or get any intercepts, but apparently we did. I guess that means we didn’t take important ones. It certainly felt that way.

I saw something somewhere about Ange Postecogelou being asked what hos “Plan B” was, and he said, “execute plan A better.”

Our game plan seems to be brittle and have little to no headroom. We appear to have no way to deal with a fast opponent executing tackling pressure.

Worst, it shuts down our midfield. Where is rhe improvement coning from?

Thanks for the reality check BAD. When you come in full of optimism, especially considering the opposition's outs, you expect to win.
Furthermore, you expect players who have dominated us in the past to be countered. But once again, Meek and Newcomb were very good for them

They let us have the +1 at stoppage, bees to the honey pot, and then had one sitting on the outside for if they won the contested ball and one extra in defence for if we won the ball and inevitably threw it on the boot under pressure. We are so determined to win the clearances we changed nothing.

Libba played half back for most of the second half. This wasn't just starting off the back of the square...he was playing half back. Wtf was the tactic there?

Worst game West has played all year. Fumbly, slow, bad.

When the game was on the line early, we let Meek and Newcombe dominate us. They put a bit of pressure on the kicker and sweated on the turnover, which we were only too happy to provide.

It was just really pathetic all round. The coaching, the preparation, the forwards, the mids, the defenders, the leaders and the young guys. I don't think anyone won their position. Lobb, Matt Kennedy, Richards and Dolan probably had net positive games.

We also failed to put score board pressure on them. Lobb missed a vital one in the third and the last and the two we missed running into open goals was unforgiveable.

We had the momentum but let ourselves down with poor F50 entries.
