I suspect Harmes is in and since Cleary is omitted Coffield too.
Would not surprise me if McNeil was demoted to sub with Hynes omitted.

Hopefully Dale is ok but they may be waiting to make a call on him. No obvious replacement on the extended bench though as I doubt they would debut Jacques in that way.

I would expect Harmes to come back in, probably for Hynes.

Coffield a confirmed inclusion - named on the ground.

About time Cleary was dropped I'm not a fan. Too small and ineffectual in the air to play medium and too slow of body and mind to play smaller. Worried for him but we've extended so all in now I guess. He has time.

Many calling for Bramble to be dropped but at least he offers a bit of zip and has been moving the ball forward so this is the right decision.

Good to see Coff get a chance he's a better option at this stage. He can compete in the air and is decisive with his kicking.

            Hoping his body holds up.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Maybe buku could be one to miss out after getting subbed.

Coffield looks as mobile as he has since he got to the club at the moment in the VFL so I like the move, he’s super dependable which is probably what we need down there at the moment in That 3rd tall role. Hopefully he can stay fit and find anywhere near his best, probably his bodies last chance.

hopefully Dolan in the 22 & McNeil sub, McNeil & Cleary out would be the right call after the last few weeks. Bramble holds his spot but is straight out for JJ once fit

Not convinced on Coffield, seems to have lost his athleticism and ability to intercept from early days. I'm not sure he brings anything that Cleary doesn't but it's not a bad idea to give him a game. In reality it's now or never for him in terms of having a future beyond this year.

I think Coffield has played better games of AFL than Cleary but they were years ago. If we think he can get back to that level he is a better option. But it's shuffling deck chairs, they're not difference makers. Happy enough for Coff to get his chance.

He's like a few of the depth players we have on the list. Close enough but he doesn't command a spot for any length of time.
Coffield just lacks a bit of athleticism and of course is injury prone. He does seem to have the footy smarts so it's frustrating.

My abiding vision of Coffield has been him running lap after lap at training sessions while the rest of the playing list went through the drills of the day. So it was good to see him join the others in full training in recent weeks and to see his perseverance rewarded with a chance against Richmond. While he's physically strong and marks well, I feel that pace is his issue. I've not seen anything from his recent VFL games that makes me think this isn't still the case.

Someone mentioned above about re-shuffling the deck chairs.
Unless Freijah and Truck play back, D3, and everyone who supports Dale, is somewhat just that, until someone takes a big step this year, next pre-season or through trade.
Sellwood is the NKOTB, so we all hope he is it now.
JJ, when fully healthy and in form, sure, but the likelihood of that is low.
We need to get use to those roles, performing below standard, and being shuffled around.
I am absolutely putting Truck and Freijah back there, and then we can play around with D3 only.

Dont base his games on bottom teams. He not what we want against the good teams. He has stuffed up enough now, to not protect him when he plays on OK game against a poor team. Cleary should be ahead of him. Cleary hasnt done much wrong apart from some shockers against Geelong

Cleary and Bramble are quite different players. Bramble is mostly there for his rebound and run, something Cleary does not offer. Cleary's strength is his defensive work.

For the balance of the backline Bramble belongs in the current side. When JJ is back or Sellwood is deemed ready that's another argument.

A prime Coffield could go a long way to sorting out our medium defender issue - fear he may be too hobbled now though.
