He's not coming in the get a lot of it. His role will be to pressure. Chase, chase and chase. He only needs a few touches to be damaging.

2 tackles isn't great but I'd be curious to see his pressure acts.

All about speed obviously . Full on attack I would say with the way training was, lot of goal kicking with the mids

        Like it.

Sanders is still poor defensively and hasn't been winning enough of it. Arty gives us pace and pressure, suits Marvel.

Big responsibility in what is like a final. I watched both his last three games and he was not cited against GWS or BHH. Played just ok v Carlton

Sometimes players are better when playing a higher grade .. you run to your spots that an AFL team would look for you but an VFL team don’t .
I understand this way of thinking , I just don’t think Sanders has ever looked quick or desperate enough, sure he is a very good footballer with skills but since he came he always seems a dawdler .
it might be just his gait and he looks slow but I just don’t see him as fast or as pressuring as Arty .

                  Pretty happy with Jones in.

He doesn't fit MJPs requirements for an experienced player who knows how to adjust to the pace, but there aren't any of them available anyway.

Jones brings energy and pace and I think is much more likely to feel like he has an impact even with his low possesion count.

Very much hoping we don't go with McNeil as sub as he doesn't have any impact coming on.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

That’s lucky, because he never gets a lot of it.
That’s cool though because we generally value guys with single digit possessions and lots of pressure acts pretty highly around here.

I think it came down to who we prefer as sub Arty or Sanders. I think Arty skill set is better suited to impact the game late. I still think he one of those players that will be better at AFL level go well Arty!

Feel for Sanders gonna be a tough one to take particularly due to the match committee playing him in numerous roles.

I totally get Sanders being left out.

i have no idea why Jones was selected.

to be fair, i had no idea why Croft was chosen last week and he was fine so I’m rolling with it! Not that I have much choice!
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Not everyone can accumulate possessions. Every team needs role players.

Ballsy move, but probably the right one.

Sanders comes on last week with the game safe and has an opportunity to shine and has 0 kicks and 6 handballs. The kid has lost the ability to hurt the opposition with ball in hand.

I'd love to know what the discussions are with him because it's been a pattern for 2 years now. It seems like such an easy fix because he actually uses the ball well by foot, but he just ... Refuses to?

Hopefully this is the kick in the stomach he needs to propel himself to greater heights.
