According to Champion Data, he is a better player than Nasiah - I would suggest being paid $1.35m a season less than Nas from next year would qualify as grossly underpaid.

It's goodwill and frankly good business by the club to reward a critically important player still very much in his prime.

Every contract in the league would have to be renegotiated if NWM is the yardstick.

Has a team ever paid a player 25% MORE than opposition offers to stay before? It's usually the opposite.

Nothing against it if that's what happened, it just wasn't an obvious need like Collingwood with Darcy Cameron.

There has been no official announcement of Dolan's extension, hence I haven't updated it. I'm hardly going to base it on media reports of it's believed player X has signed an extension.

The list is updated as soon as I am able, eg Bailey Dale was updated as soon as it was announced yesterday.

I think we've all learned that, even if we sometimes don't believe it exists, you'd best not accuse Axe of not keeping the thread up to date. If it exists, it's up to date with confirmed info.

Not sure why it would needed to have been? He signed a 5 year deal in 2022 coming off an All Australian berth, doubt he was being underpaid. The HUN list had him at $650-$750K.

Could it just be adding some certainty and perhaps frontloading some next year to accommodate a good player worth more than a zac as a free agent for 2027

Well I just looked at the list and it has arty jones as 2025 but your all saying he signed another year . I’m not having a go at Axe man he wouldn’t be on the page updating 24/7 but I’m just pointing out that it’s not always going to be up to date until he updates it.
So when you hear a player has signed and it hasn’t been updated your just letting Axe man know it needs updating again.

Pretty sure he updates when the contract is announced by the club and is official and not based on journos or posts from us unreliable lot

As far as I'm concerned Axe is doing the right thing.
