This loss is on our captain, it is on Hunter, Macrae, Smith, Treloar, Dunkley and anyone else who was at the coal face today and let the Bombers do whatever they wanted.

It's also on Bruce and Naughton for being wasteful and completely irresponsible in front of goal.

Have we ever won at Marvel with 0 crowd. We just aren't as good as I thought. That Essendon side on paper looked very thin and didn't fear us for a second.

It's a tight season anyone can beat anyone on their day and we've been good this season but christ what was that? Destroyed for 3 qtrs by 12th on your home deck.

Fk I hope we don't sh1t the bed from here.

I doubt we will ever have a better chance to clinch the minor premiership. Very dissapointed.

There's a lot of anger and frustration on this thread and I can appreciate that, understand it and I feel it to. Extremely disappointing performance that points a big question mark over our finals prospects.

But do not lose sight of the good football we've played this year. We handled Melbourne easily second time around and more than matched it with Geelong. Port hold no fears for us. The race for the flag is wide open.

However, the injury to Josh Bruce could be signiicant and in a horrible way was an entirely snycrhonous way to end a lamentable evening.

Implicit in our philosophy is player turnover needed because of injury but also because the VFL is retarded.
So a loss like this is not only on the cards but historically respectable.

I get the glass half full Mofra, and it might be the lockdown blues and the scum we lost to, however to me the dissapointment is a significant chance to write history for this team has been wasted, again.

I don't really care about the stats there's really only one that counts in ten years time.

We remember won finals, minor premierships, flags. That's the history you write.

We haven't won a final since 2016. We might get our own counter going soon if we don't stand up in important games more often.
