Can we sack Dunkley if he’s so intent on getting to Essendon?

Our mids were the reason we lost today. The forwards didn’t convert and our defenders couldn’t win a contest, but we’d still have won if our mids decided to defend. I’m sick of their precious efforts. You can’t decide when you want to turn up. That is not a premiership mentality. We’re not winning it this year. We don’t have the mentality for it and our defence can’t shut forwards out. Sam Power needs to get on the phones to get us a legit defender and ruck.

We've been up for a long time. A lot of players were down but i wouldn't call it a pathetic performance. Rarely has our set shots for goal been so poor. Haven't looked at any stats but our forward line was given opportunities. Lockdown losses are the worst. Everyone treat yourselves tonight.

Be lucky to get a late second rounder on current form. He needs time must be hard after that sort of injury, he looks miles off it.

Implicit in our philosophy is player turnover needed because of injury but also because the VFL is retarded.
So a loss like this is not only on the cards but historically respectable.

When you look at those defenders, it's hard to believe that Young can't get consistent games.

I won't give us a chance to win the flag until Cordy is out of the side. He's absolutely horrendous.

It's a tough one to quantify, I think we had the requisite intensity for 3/4 of the 1st quarter. Then when they brought the heat it really had a familiar smell.

My Conclusions

* We cannot have Schache and Cordy as our Key Defenders going into a final. Schache is a long way off as a backman at this stage.

* Set shots killed us whereas Essendon couldn't miss

* We need Martin for the finals

* Finals require more experience than a Garcia, Jamarra

* Ed either plays HBF, or doesn't play

* IT is a loss we had to have to show these guys you have to work hard all the time and not slack off. Essendon desperate to make finals, we were cruising thinking we are the top team

It's an indictment on him that he wasn't given the responsibility to try and take out Wright over the 3rd game defender in Schache, but given Francis and then Waterman troubled him, he was no chance any way.

When Easton kicked that goal, my thoughts did fleetingly go to "I'm worried we think this is going to be a cakewalk". But then I let the "this is going to be a cakewalk" thought win out

We were winning with two rucks in the side and I think Sweet would have been better than the makeshift setup we had tonight.
I know Sweet has his limitations but at least it's the position he plays.
