Those of us were lucky enough to grow up in the era where six games were played on a Saturday afternoon can remember the good old days. Footy meant Saturday afternoon.                                     I used to love looking at the scoreboard at qtr/half/three qtr time as a kid and filling in the around the grounds in the record.

                                    I've got hundreds of old records with the scores in them.

                                        Yeah, screw the AFL for a) scheduling the season opener on a freaking Wednesday and b) making it the grand final re-match. Stupid decisions.

                                        First time in a long time I can see myself losing interest in footy completely.
                                        Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

                                            I'm glad it isn't just me who feels the scheduling is freaking STUPID.

                                            Leave footy to Fri-Sat-Sun.

                                            This is dumb. I'm going to be trying to avoid the score (impossible) until effectively 10pm Melbourne time...beyond annoyed.
                                            What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

                                                It wasn't 3kz, probably AW, but I well remember Rex Hunt's call during the last tense quarter of a close 'Dogs vs Richmond game.                                                         I’m away with work in Central VIC… need to travel home this afternoon and then rush to get to the footy. Won’t get home until probably 11pm tonight and then up early for work.

                                                        The AFL don’t give a shit about the fans… just all for TV now.
