I am not much into analysing the whys, therefores and wherefors but, for anyone who is, it seems to me that the critical points to consider when a team gets a run on are to: 1)examine how many of the goals result from our mistakes (misdirected tap, push on, handball, kick, fumble, failed tackle, dropped mark, failure to shepard & etc) 2) how many result from a failure to set up well at stoppages. I'm not just talking about on ballers here but every player, particularly those who are stationed between the ball and the opposition's goal. For me, there is only one position to adopt if you are a defender - STS. And finally 3) if any of the goals resulted from poor umpiring decisions..1 and 2 we can address. 3 is OOOC

In the first two games it bothered me that there was a lack of actively presenting, leading up to a player with ball in hand then turnovers.
A lack of options. When teams are on, there is a wave of options.
