Our midfield has stopped.

Really poor.

Bont?s been tagged out of it by Drew and he was the only one who was breaking away from the contest.. the rest of our mids just hack kick it out and our forwards aren?t great in these conditions.

Some questions need to be asked as to why English was not in the ruck for that pivotal early part of the quarter.
The game swung during that period.

I love Marra however his effort has been sub standard tonight.

The only silver lining is that this loss might be the thing that let's us pick ahead of Port in the draft.

Early days to worry about that. We will finish above Port.

That is a poor result. O’Brien so costly. The first goal they kicked for the quarter should never been allowed. A contested overhead mark in a pack on driving rain. The second Marshall goal not much O’Brien could do but still concedes a mark. Their last goal he gifted them. That was the difference.

However, after that our mids just got demolished, after being on top all game.

How does O?Brien get a game.

I don?t think he?s played that badly. Had to take a risk. Every time we kicked long out of port?s 50 one of port?s players would mark it.

Macrae is concerning me though and I wonder why we persevered with him at centre and on ball. Could have tried Maclean in there. Enough said about Hannan. Port?s ability to shutdown Dale was pretty impressive and they kept Bont quiet later on. We do look like a slow side.

When we were 8 points up and had it in our F50 I reckon had we scored another one that might have been enough for us to win. Oh well, next week.

Cody?s return was excellent. So that?s a positive. As was Liam Jones, a rock in defence.

Almost feel as bad about this loss as the saints loss. This just highlighted how poor we are in so many areas of the ground. We have very few players of quality.

it’s our completely stupid, overstacked forward line I despise. Lobb, Naughton and Marra all on the field and we kick it to Hannan and Weightman.

Weightman was brilliant, but he’s still a medium forward flying for marks. We still have no crumber in a forward line designed to bring the ball to ground.

They’re so annoying to watch. Totally unbalanced and just a ridiculous waste of cap space.

The conditional effort and intensity around the footy lets the entire team down. They lost us that game, shameful effort.

Yes, costly that we need to play an additional away game compared to every other club except Carlton. However only ourselves to blame. We had them on the ropes and we didn’t put them away. Marshall got the job done for them late when our forwards could not.
