Haha I love this.
This is an organic genuine rivalry, not an AFL orchestrated rivalry.
Kudos to both clubs in how it's developed over the years. If anything, we should be trying to work with the Giants to play them in a marquee game/time slot each year.W00F!Comment

I actually love that we get to live inside their head after 2016. We gave them a massive clip on our banner in the lead up to the prelim, that sort of thing should be retaliated against from the Giants.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

The 7 year Kelly deal has probably lost them a few players .
They really haven't replaced:
- Cameron
- Taranto
- Berry
- Griffen
- Big Mummy
- the bull Sam Reid
Their backline is ok.Comment

They had 49 possessions and 11 more inside 50s. To win is highly unusual for us with those type of differentiations. We normally have more possessions and inside 50s and either just win or lose in the Bevo era.
Good sign that we could win with that differential. Not a good sign to concede that differential. Bevo made it clear in the presser he wasn?t happy with some of the numbers.Josie :)
Our day will come
And we'll have everything.
We'll share the joy
Just like '54 again.Comment

I mean it was pretty much just Hogan as a genuine forward tonight. No Greene and he still managed what should have been 4 goals.
I thought our mids were close to shithouse tonight with their effort aside from Treloar and Bonts first half. Dish that up next week and we'll be on trouble. Not saying Carlton are a top 4 team or anything but they're the type of side who will carve us up if we play this lazy, uninspiring and soft football.Comment

The Giants really are just tiresome. Contrived and manufactured BS at every point including their humourless banner and putting together a compilation of their thuggish behaviour as an example of a “rivalry”. The Tom Greene appreciation shed or whatever that was. It looked like it had more Bulldogs fans milling around than any crusty old “veteran” supporters.
Anyway…we were good enough in the times that mattered and though I wish those terrifying lapses would stop happening maybe there’s growing evidence that we have some ways to put the brakes on. Agree Treloar out shook up that balance.
Arty really is growing every week. Apart from those goals he had two fantastic tackles that weren’t rewarded. The umpiring was abysmal.
After round two, there was talk of us being bottom 4, Bevo being sacked and another year wasted. We’d have been thrilled to know we would only drop one game in the weeks to come with a pretty tough schedule. It’s all about banking wins, and we’re building, but we do have some out of form players that worry me - Keath and Duryea are really struggling and Gardner seemed off the pace tonight.www.bulldogtragician.com A blog about being a lifelong fan of the Dogs and our quixotic attempt to replicate 1954. Bont - 7
English - 6
Daniel - 5
Liberatore - 4
Smith - 3
Treloar - 2
Macrae - 1
You might say some of the clearance work from Bont meant our tackling wasn't going to be as prolific in the contest, but as I look at that given the conditions I think we were a little down on where we should have been. Coming back from concussion is a weird experience and perhaps this impacted Libba's output, though I think across the board it will be something we focus on this week.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

I said I?d revisit it mid season and nominate a new timeline.
We are a capable side. Tracking well since the catastrophic start to the year without really doing anything substantially different to what we know we can do but still always looking susceptible to being done in by a massive swing in momentum.
If we stay in front of the ledger, I?m happy.Time and Tide Waits For No ManComment

Arthur was the big win of the night for me personally. I talked up his composure and ability to buy time and space in the midfield and that pass to Naughton made me feel a genius.
More seriously aside from the more obvious highlights (goals, assists, even strong tackles) the big thing I saw in his game was how clean he was in the wet. He has a level of class that indicates he'll have a long career and I hope that proves to be true.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Comment
