Naughton took a great mark late and broke their back. So is that problem solved? We still managed to get in a losing position when we had a match winning lead. That is not concerning?

They got a great run on and majority of posters in here had given up, but hey our boys showed character to stop it and hang on to win. The Giants did this last week against the Swans and won. But not us.

We won ugly in terrible conditions away from home. I enjoyed it.

At a guess I think the journalist was Cody Atkinson who use to do a lot of footy analysis deep dives for the ABC. Well he use to until the ABC cut the budget. Apologies if Cody was not the jurno.

Out of all this commentary what happened to the stress ball?
It was pivotal in the whole game and we never got the end result I hope its ok.

Sounds like he wasn't 100% happy with Bont's second half. 10 clearances to half time but only 4 in the second half.

2 goals great, hitouts great, but 7 disposals not good enough, but like Jamarra, the wet conditions didn't help

                    I agree.

We have given up 4+ goal runs in all but 1 game this season. It's a concerning pattern that has simply been going on for too long.

Yes we stopped it at 4 but it should never have even gotten to 4 in the first place. Start of the final term, we needed the first to put the game to bed and instead we give up 4 in quick succession. There was still over half a quarter remaining after they kicked the 4th too. That is more than concerning.

As usual, it's about what they were doing without the ball that concerned me. We allowed them too much time and space too often. You can find a multitude of excuses as to why but there's a pattern of this from our mids and it needs to stop if we are to realistically challenge for finals.

Glass half full- I actually thought we were decent structurally for most of the game. Except the last quarter of course.

Yeah I thought it was actually a positive of sorts, in that while the opposition did get on a roll we did manage to halt it and also I thought it was more they happened to be scoring the goals rather than they were on an unstoppable run.

Typically when the opposition have that surge we can barely get our hands on the footy and them scoring is inevitable. Last night during their run I would guess we had at least 40% of the disposals in that time frame and created some of our own chances, so it wasn't our usual "lay down and watch" approach.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Considering the conditions, GWS being not bad, our key defenders all having down nights, and our second best mid being injured for the last quarter I thought it was a pretty positive result with a few areas for improvement. Toby Greene maybe would've changed the result, maybe not, but a bit like Josh Bruce's goals our wins count even when against weakened opposition.

As for the JUH vs Lobb debate, I thought the latter was better. Lobb didn't get heavily involved, but he is primarily a marking target, which was difficult, we rarely kicked it to him, and I thought his go in the ruck was solid enough. Not fussed about his disposal count, when he did get it he was generally good and he is not the guy you want to be getting it lots on a night like that. As for JUH, he keeps putting himself in good positions but unlike Lobb his execution is lacking, which was my issue with him last night. Just struggled to secure the ball when he got his hands to it, and while conditions didn't help thought with his ground ball ability he might've done better.

Also super happy with Arthur Jones. Not a heap of it but impactful when he did and impressed with how clean and composed he was. Thought he was close to getting dropped but thats more dangerous than the likes of McNeil or Garcia have ever looked in that role.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Are we the only team that gives up consecutive goals?

Seems to happen to all teams. Momentum is hard to stop.
