We just don’t have that hard edge that quality teams have. We have skill, ability but just lacking that toughness. Very disappointed as we lost that ourself, same against Collingwood we are mentally soft and just don’t have the piles of Picken, Boyd, Morris. We are in the age group of our prime and wasting it due to mentally not being tough enough

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

Guess what the free kick count was?

22-13. How is that possible? They got every single 50/50 decision. In a game decided by a kick. The men in green had a massive say in this game.
They certainly did and it was so obvious at times , if Buddy complained they gave him a free .
They could throw the ball , if we got tackled in a pack with no chance to get rid of it , it was holding the ball , they could jump on it make no attempt and it was a ball up .
      Bring back the biff

No game will be easy. I?m still thinking 9th on percentage.

What would have happen to the score line if Hickey had of played tonight

I'm over Treloar lacks intensity and unless he gets on a silver platter looks second rate. West, Garcia or Smith would do a better job if we have to play him hide in a forward pocket out of harms way.

Actually I can see the last game against geel at geel becoming the decider. Cats to get top 4 and us to get into the 8…or stay in the 8. And we all know how that would turn out.

We need to get West some chances in the midfield. He's like Midas right now, nearly every possession turns to gold. Tackles and defends well, has smarts. Should have been playing more than this. Well done to him for hanging in there when average VFL footballers get games over him.
Playing McComb over West was dumb coaching.

There is a reason Hickey wasn’t playing.. he’s been awful this year.

That kick he didn't even look.

He also gave the ball back far too quickly when he was done for holding it.

Honestly I’m not sure I want to just make top 8 and be beaten first finals week which is most likely scenario vs missing the eight.

                          We had 51 more touches.
We had seven more inside 50s.
We had 34 more hit outs.
                          We won the clearances 52-34.
We won the centre clearances 15-8.
We won the contested possessions 152-130.

                          Seriously. How do you lose?

Same reason we always lose. We concede soft goals on the transition. We concede soft goals in D50 stoppages. Our key defenders can't mark the ball, which puts even more pressure on our defence.

Just gutted right now. An important game and very close game and we couldn't get it done.

He had 2 perfect opportunities to pass the ball to Marra early on and kicked it over his head.. he then chose not to have a shot from 45m.

He is very limited by foot and it?s holding him back from being a consistent performer.
