I picked up that vibe as well. We should never underestimate how much this hurts and frustrates a coach in a milestone game and knowing that a loss really puts us behind the 8 ball. He's hurting like we all are and feeling it even more.

Agree 100%. We are hurting. But there is nothing like being in the inner sanctum. The intent is there. From the players. From the coaches. It boils down to a few moments of execution as Bevo explained in the presser.

Can't be top four side when your 23rd-28th best players are continually getting games. Need to a be a mini cull and push again. But that's also not possible, as the bigger clubs always get pick of the litter on depth players. Maybe letting B.Smith go and getting a 2 for 1 somehow is our only way as a smaller club to get ahead.

In the 1970s the Club arguably survived by selling off champions like Quinlan and Templeton, perhaps toss in Wilson. Now the Club's books balance, there's money in the bank. Disney USA is in decline, like Bud, arguably victim of toying with the woke but, whatever anyone's misgivings, I'm content that Kylie isn't taking us down that path. It was a disappointing loss but O'Donnell and Darcy both going down was hardly predictable and both had performed well pre injury. That's footy, them's the breaks.

Florent sneaking forward for two goals was telling.
He hadn't kicked a goal all year pretty much it just shows you how smart Longmire is.

We send one up off half forward so they sent their half back up to kick two critical goals.

We had eight players under 50 games last night.

                West.
                Vanda.
                Marra.
                McNeil.
                Garcia.
                Darcy.
                JOD.
                Poulter.

Which are those are going to play 200 games and be influential players in the game?

                Marra
                Darcy

I don't have faith any of the others actually making it. That is a massive issue. Our young talent is not up to it.

Well I just watched the second half and it was rage inducing throw the remote through the tv stuff.

I'm sick of being scored against, week in, week out every single game in the same way. I'm sick of missed easy goals. I'm sick of the ball going coast to coast against us over and over. I'm sick of dominating forward 50 play. I'm sick of a lot of things.

Pay out Vandermeer now, I never want to see him in our colours again.

Is it the players or the coach responsible for Groundhog Day?

I also had a look at the last quarter and felt for Bailey Dale. He tried to take the game on from defence and ran to far. Then on his next kick out where the camera was showing the entire ground with a couple of minutes left not one player ran to the middle of the ground. Beside Bont we have no one who wants to show leadership and take the game on. They were happy for it to be kicked to a pack. The week before watching Collingwood everyone demands the ball on their team.

Maybe I'm harsh but Dale's output has dropped significantly since 2021.
His numbers maybe the same but gut feel is his kicking is now suspect and his decision making and dare isn't what it was.
Symbolic of our team bare a few really.

I’m sure Billing’s would carry the team.
