Looks very good GVG. Looking forward to the updated new version of WOOF.

I believe that the new version will both be accessed via your computer internet browser (Chrome and Safari) and on your Iphone/Ipad. Will there actaully be a WOOF app you can download or is it just access through the internet browser on your phone.

For the members who offered to provide some feedback, and many thanks to you, if you still have an interest have another look as it's advanced a bit further today. We've got some images to sort out (American football to Australian one thanks to Aza's insistence) and some blurring/ghosting of member images plus a couple of color tweaks to complete but we should be good to go by Tuesday.
I've checked it on 5 different browsers and they all appear to be right. The mobile app in VB should be a massive improvement.

I'm still taking feedback and promise not to get 'Colgate Sensitive' about it (Granty loves that) so if anyone has the time to review this is the last chance as Monday is my last roll of the dice.

Hopefully a decent blend of the old and the new. Many thanks for you feedback and assistance.
We lose some options but gain some other features.

Is there any chance that you can split out AFLW for it's own forum.?

I also think there should be a separate forum for Drafting, Trading and List management. Player contracts can also be stickied under this forum.

Not sure if this ads to cost or is easy to do?

We get minimal traffic for the AFLW so I don't quite see any value. It's not a cost issue it's more about the visuals for some members and its the reason why we move the Cricket board to the World Sports. Happy to add more boards if there is enough traffic.
I'll have a look at the other option but that can be done after the upgrade

Thanks for going to the effort to upgrade the site. I'm a bit surprised WOOFers haven't shown more interest in it so far but anyway it does seem to strike a balance between what we had and I think view the site on the phone is an improved feature.

I've got about 4 things on the to do list so if we can get them sorted we should be able to do the upgrade on Tuesday.
Please understand that the site might be down for a few hours during the upgrade

                      Re: WOOF Update

Okay I've had the final meeting and providing a couple of minor changes that are still outstanding are made tonight, the data migration will occur around 9am to 9.15am on Tuesday and it should take up to 5 hours to complete.
So lets hope it's all good by 2pm tomorrow and the new version is running smoothly.

I want to thank the following members who took on the challenge of reviewing how the site might look and perform like in the near future and they all provided excellent feedback.
Jeemak, Azabob, Hujsh and Dogs 24/7 were the prime volunteers and I also reached out to BT and Go-Dogs for their feedback.

There will be an adjustment period for all members as we will lose some of the older features we have been using for a while now.
We do however, need to accept that from an ongoing maintenance and performance of the site, the VB version 4 software we were using and patching up had an expiry date that was imminent and jumping over now was the best option.

While the H&A part of the footy season is over, only 118 members have read this thread. There is a fair chance that some members are in for a surprise next time they log on.

I get footy exhaustion at the end of the season (unless we win a flag ) so haven’t been in for a while. Looks like I just popped in in time before the upgrade. Good luck!

Appreciate all that you do for the site. We are not WOOF without you.

Let me know if you want me to do anything.

I'm just getting a little excited for this change. While content is king to a forum having a fresher look, more functions and a better mobile phone app should help members. Well that was my testing experience.

Will have to try again tomorrow.
