    Re: H.sun supercoach

Looks like I'm gonna finally pull the plug on Burgoyne. Out for another 3-6 weeks. Should I trade in for Lewis (Price is low) or Hill? I figure Hill will decline in the second part of the year.

I need another good scorer in the back half. Ladson and Krakouer haven't been great. I can't afford to carry them plus Nason and Trengove. Nason is good for an emergency, so I think I need to trade either Krakouer or Ladson.

Those backline players are hard to fill out IMO.

How much cash do you have to play with?

Waters, Malceski, Gwilt, Hunt and McPharlin are some cheapies off the top of my head. I wouldn't rush out to trade any in though I just listed them because they're around the Krakouer and Ladson price. All those players were best suited to start in the team from Round 1.

I've got $404,600 so I am thinking about upgrading to O'Brien.

However if I do that, it'll mean I won't be able to land Lewis. Perhaps going with a Waters/McPharlin type is the best option.

It's kind of sideways though which I always find a waste. Maybe downgrade another player and go for a more consistent scorer.

Backline players i look for the run off types eg Harbrow because they get a lot more posessions than blokes like Morris, which is quite wrong if you really take in a players set task and how well its achieved.

Good point. Might hold off for a few more rounds first.

Anyone think Jordan Lewis is worth the punt? He hasn't scored too well this season and as a result his price has dropped around 70k already.

How has he done in previous seasons etc.?

He is certainly better than his current output, but I don't think he is a great scorer. He's the sort who is on the verge of SC gun status and it's frustrating having those types in your end team. If his price drops by a total of about 140k I would consider him, but then he would have to play very badly to drop that low in the first place, with no guarantees he will turn it around. Sam Mitchell and Simon Black are the two who will both drop sub-450k and who will be good value guns.

2025 this week for me. 2, 816th overall. Murph and Bazza are both causing me headaches. I hope at least one of them can up their average to 90+ because it would cost me precious trades to trade them both out.

On the Podsiadly situation, he is very unlikely to hold a 90+ average, thus you don't want him in your end team - he is a cash cow. If you already have reasonably successful cash cows, my advice is hold on to them because most successful cash cows will get their price up to the 300k trading mark anyway, and trades are like gold. If you have some spud cow like Relton Roberts then go for it.

                  Lewis averaged 80 in 2008 (17 Games) and 91 in 2009 (19 Games)

www.tooserious.com.au is a great site to look at information like this.

Is very cheap at the moment and if the Hawks starting finding form his scoring should increase. Also Sewell coming back into the side should help him be released.
I suggest waiting another week if you can, see if his form improves and Lewis has to score 146 this week for his price not to go down even further..

In regards to your backline i suggest having a good look at Hargrave.. Bias aside he is getting VERY cheap due to getting injured early in the Hawthorn game and only scoring 9 points.. His another one who has very high breakeven and has to score 167 to not go down in price.

If he can get some form back this week, i can see him averaging 90-100 for the rest of the year and at his price at the moment would be a bargain.

I have both Waters & Malceski in my backline, had Waters from the start, and brought in Malceski a few weeks back, both average pretty well for cheaper players, Waters a bargain @ $285.200 averaging 87.50.

Silvagni at Freo might also be a shot for a bargain basement player down back.

Not clear cut by any stretch JH40 but I'd lean towards NicNat with his greater probability over Mummy's for that 'big' score that we all love to see.

Rockliff has been pretty good for me so far, but Pods has a high average and should go up quite a bit over the coming weeks if he (and Geelong) can keep up their good form.

Rockliff possibly likely to play more matches over the course of the season, but really, either should be good selections.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?
