Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell
Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath

Just waiting for the AFL to abolish the father/son rule as soon as they are eligible to play...Comment

Re: Future Father/Sons
Four blokes getting 35 touches in the engine room every week. I'd like a to imagine it.
Will get great to hear decent commentary on 4 West boys... West gets it, handballs it West. Hands it back to West. West gets a short kick out to West. West than spots up West. West has run from the last contest so gets it from West. West goes in board to West who takes a running shot and West goals.Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment

Knowing the current commentators though it'll be more like "Trent West gets it, handballs to Mark West"Four blokes getting 35 touches in the engine room every week. I'd like a to imagine it.

Re: Future Father/Sons
I've looked for the answer and can't find it. Anyone know how long the Father/Son eligibility stays open for? Re: Future Father/Sons
Michael Romero — son of Jose Romero — could be another addition to Western Bulldogs’ litter of father-sons
FOOTBALL’S most buoyant current father-son factory may be about to produce another jewel for the Western Bulldogs.
In recent seasons the Dogs have benefited in a massive way from father-sons in Lachie Hunter (Mark), Tom Liberatore (Tony) and Mitch Wallis (Steve).
Now Michael Romero, the son of 1996 best-and-fairest winner Jose, is beating the same path via APS school St Kevin’s.
Romero, 17, has produced some very impressive APS form for his school’s opening three games this year.
School coach Paul O’Brien said he has been impressed with Romero’s development.
“He has clearly improved in the area of contested football, his tackling has been outstanding and he has always had good speed,” O’Brien said.
Romero was a national junior 100m hurdles champion, but gave athletics away to concentrate on following his father Jose into the AFL and has been involved in the Calders Cannon TAC Cup program.
During his athletic years he worked with Sarah Mulkearns, who also spent 12 years as strength and conditioning coach of the Calder Cannons.
“As a powerful, explosive athlete from what I saw two years ago, he would be quicker than most over the first two or three. So he certainly could have moved his way up the athletics world had he desired that,” Mulkearns said.
Romero spent two months with the Western Bulldogs last summer as part of the father-son academy, and is expected to play some VFL games with the club when his school football finished in late July.
Recruiting manager Simon Dalrymple has monitored his progress as part of the father-son academy.
“Michael is a terrific young fella who is very coachable,” Dalrymple said.
“He has come from a stronger athletics background so is a bit different to some of the others we have had. He has speed and also has a bit to work on him in his game.FFC: Established 1883
