Can't see many knocking on the door for senior selection. Webb's use of the ball has been excellent. As I type this he kicks a beautiful goal.

Jong is still way off and Hrovat not doing enough, but could be a better option than Dale.

Think you are being a bit tough on Jong and Hrovat. Webb and Biggs don't look at out place for a promotion.

I expect Jong to be a bit more damaging before getting a recall. Its a big jump in standard between VFL and AFL.

Looks like we have this sewn up at the 28 minute mark.

Bit surprised by that, you have tended to ignore form at Footscray.
Thought Jong's kicking has been pretty good. Like the way he spotted up a player late in the 4th and pin pointed the pass.

With our injury list mounting we might have to be a bit more flexible than normal.

Based on today's effort he might be an option. He looked good up forward and moved freely. His kicking and athleticism was quite good.
The only problem is I don't think he could rotate through the middle which is what we normally ask smaller forwards to do.

Jong would be an ideal like-for-like replacement for Stevens. Didn't see the game yesterday but it appears that we were monstered in the contested ball (against a team who normally stinks in that area) and really felt Koby's absence in the coal face.

I think Jong ,as he can play through the middle .
Thought he was pretty decent today .
Thought Hrovat was better in the second half, and Pierce was outstanding .
Very much a game of fits and spurts

Agree with that. Prefer to have them both up and running but if Stevens is out for a while I see Jong as a possible replacement.

i think Webb and Biggs have been playing better footy than Jong for the last couple of weeks but our side's balance is really out of whack. I think unless we have concerns over Jong's match fitness, he probably needs to come in next week.

I've been a Pearce fan for a while now but if we are going to upgrade anyone then it should be Rourke Smith on form but if we want a harder body on the list then it's Pearce.

Serious question. If we upgraded Pearce nd he got injured straight away then can we still promote Smith? Or do we only get one chance?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
