Will be a tough game - Coburg have won 5 of their last 6 games with the only loss in that time, by a point.

We'll be right we have to shiny new defenders that will be out to impress.

Saw a bit of an indoor cricket session with some of the youngsters and Sellwood was a handy left arm spinner. Jaques can bat a bit, very stylish.

Sellwood will come into the senior selection mix quickly enough.

Good to see Muratore back in the side he looked like a handy small forward early in the piece.

Jacques starting forward is interesting when we’re dying for a competent half back.

also stop ****ing around and just bring Jones back, may be his last year but he still makes our defence better and is the rock down there in which the rest works around. Gardner could kick 10 and have 40 from full back and it’d still be the wrong decision to bring him in over Jones

Haven’t seen him yet, 37? Really disappointing if he’s not in, need to get as much VFL time into him as possible quickly

Jacques nice and neat, unfortunately Hynes the opposite, fumbles often. Coburg gets one back but we lead 25 to 12 near end of first.

Hynes is completely different player to what I expected he was coming into the season. I thought he’d be a scrappy, big bodied bull type but he’s the opposite. Hes a smooth moving, composed, classy as by hand or foot - rarely wastes a possession,

He’s probably just a bit timid with his attack on the ball and the man at this early stage of his career. I think once he fills out a bit and realises he’s a big body and gets some confidence in his game to start throwing his weight around with intensity, I really think his upside is absolutely huge as a modern day mid/fwd

one of my favourite draft picks recently

Very little chance Gags plays next week, is just jogging looks to be well off the pace with his fitness.
