Couldn’t disagree more tbh, he dropped one soda but he’s as clean as it gets on the inside very rarely fumbles

He’s probably just a bit timid with his attack on the ball and the man at this early stage of his career. I think once he fills out a bit and realises he’s a big body and gets some confidence in his game to start throwing his weight around with intensity, I really think his upside is absolutely huge as a modern day mid/fwd

one of my favourite draft picks recently
Yep looks good with ball in hand It will be his athletic traits that will hold him back if anything.

Dont think his top speed is overly high but don’t think it will hold him back, he’s a glider who looks to move pretty effortlessly IMO and finds time. Don’t think he’s any less athletic than a Bont/Pendlebury/Freijah type I reckon

Yeah playing mid will be ok with the right mix I would just like a little more speed if he ends up forward of the ball, I'm not sure he has the athletic traits to play the HHF role full time.

You could see him playing a similar role to Kennedy at AFL level.

Kennedy is a good call player wise, although I reckon he probably has Kennedy covered for speed. He’s a bit like Sanders IMO doesn’t seem to get out of first gear much yet or hasn’t learnt that at this level you need to be meeting the ball on the move not flat footed. I reckon his pace will surprise a bit when he adjusts, just hasn’t shown it

but we’ll see, great start today

Jacques is a fantastic kick for goal, get him in!

in all honesty though the only way we fix our goal kicking issues is changing the personnel, you need good finishers and ours are few and far between, it’s just not something you really develop in a big way (except for the odd exception)

I like Jacques at HB but he does look like he has the attributes for either flank, I think he did play a bit of forward juniors too. One to watch

Gags is an absolute bull, he does everything so so well except for the turnovers, really hope he can clean that part of his game up because there’s a player there if he can

The Buss has gone forward! our backline is a shambles but Bevos thrown everyone forward

Seems far fetched but honestly wouldn’t surprise me, not that we are in any position to take the next few games lightly and I’m not suggesting we do. But in reality Sellwood being a liability if that were to happen wouldn’t exactly be the difference between winning & losing.

If we see him playing a role this year it’s not necessarily the worst idea to get him up to speed over the next 5 weeks with an easier run. Same goes for Jacques.

A mix of Lobb, JOD & Sellwood with Buku swingman (Darcy back in the fwd line) is a much much better mix than Gardner as the 3rd tall defender.

JJ, Jacques & Sellwood for Bramble, Cleary & Gardner - realistically not gonna be any worse than what we’re putting out currently, probably won’t be the difference between winning & losing, 5 easier weeks to get them up to speed together and the upside to potentially make a difference in the 2nd half of the year.

Would be ballsy but honestly I’m here for it, our backline is so average right now do we really have anything to lose. Realistically we’re not going deep with the current mix down there so let’s change it up and see what happens
