No McNeil in the warm ups so far.

I really dislike how we play at VFL level. Short sideways kicks in D50 and then when it inevitably closes up down field, we attempt 25m passes to a 1 on 1 which gets nullified. Where is the dare and movement? Caveman tactics.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

North with a lot more energy than us at the moment.

Buss is really devoid of confidence at the moment, usually he pulls through pretty quickly after a poor start though, doesn’t get to him too much which I like. Let’s see how he responds

also why can’t we play McNeil? I hate how we leave our sub out even if they were literally unused it just makes no sense, he needs the game time

God I hate watching this shit, the standard is below rubbish. The AFL needs to get serious and put money into a full scale reserves comp with proper funding, only full time professional players - there’s more than enough money flying around in the biggest sport in the country to sustain it and the benefits for the development of the next rank of afl players would be enormous. But instead they want to spread the talent pool thinner again wiith new teams even though half the teams are barely afl level already

as long as we keep propping up the northern clubs & academy all good I guess

The difference in quality between the players out there just makes any semblance of decent flow & play near on impossible.

The VFL apprenticeship is dead, as soon as any young player shows any sort of hope of being a good AFL player you just need to get them out of this level asap and ride the waves in the seniors.

QT North 3.3 Dogs 2.1. The tall defenders all had some good and not so good ‘touches’ that qtr. As usual, we have a small fwd line that can struggle when the balls comes in. Jaques had some nice touches playing wing/hhf.
