There is some serious young talent on this list - Hynes, Dolan, Jacques, Davo are serious talents. Sellwood, Walker, Croft, Smith - all barely played a handful of AFL games between them. Buku & Jones a little bit older but still young & improving. Heap of serious talent to come through next 2-3 years.

Future is very very bright when you look at the quality and age of our AFL team - we should realistically be set for an extended run at the top here. If we could get Butters to future proof the next gen of the midfield along with Richards… exciting

I’m a sucker for athletic versatile mediums who can play small or tall, can intercept aerially or compete at ground level and can offer some offensive drive. Can’t have enough IMO so I think you can play both Cleary & Sellwood who both have those traits.

ok respect your opinion but i cant see them both playing but i have been known to be wrong many many times haha .
But like you i certainly see good traits from Sellwood .

Croft certainly has athleticism, talent and a decent set of hands, but gee he's not a forwards bunghole. Once he builds some size we really need to play him down back and get some continuity in there.

Is Harmes really as slow as he looks today ? or is it because his holding onto the ball longer and being caught .

Can see why Liam Jones isn’t getting a game, his intercepts are great but his kicking and decision making when delivering the ball is atrocious.
Same for Coffield .
Buku having one of those days where he could have kicked about 7 but has fumbled everything .
Not a skilful game up forward, plenty of terrible errors and should be around 10 goals up .
Harmes getting a lot of it ,Smith going well ,Arty has been quiet, Dolan the only one who is kicking goals .
impressed with Sellwood and Walker .
plenty of silly errors/decisions all over the ground you would think it was one of those terribly windy days at WO.

He thinks he’s in Stawell Gift. It was horrible. Caught in Q3 badly too. Pity as he’s been ok. Just looks too slow for AFL though.

Yeah agree with all of that, even though the conditions are great out there but I think GWS pressure has been immense too which has led to a scrappy game. Been a pretty fiery game but I think will hold the team in good stead that they’ve dealt with it for the most part - really should be a long way in front!

Hynes is such a bull, so much time in the contest and can’t be brought down in a tackle. He might actually make us feel reasonably okay about the Baz trade when all is said and done.

All of Jacques Hynes & Dolan are looking fantastic - all very different types of players too and all positions of need. 3rd tall/mid, small forward and an outside flanker/winger (not sure where Jacques settles yet - looks like he can play anywhere)

Davo a bit quieter today but had an immense year and a high quality young wing.

Looking like an unbelievable draft.

Dolan might have played himself into the VDM spot. I’m in two minds, I dunno if he’s ready for finals intensity footy - probably not. But hard to ignore his form. Probably need to go Harmes as the more battle hardened player whose built for finals. But I’m tempted… maybe Harmes for VDM and Arty & Dolan both on Mcneils tail hard if he slips up over the next few weeks, but has obviously brought himself some time with last nights performance
