Looking forward to Sunday. Got my ticket so ready to go. Paul Amy the main VFL reporter said tickets for the GF were selling very well so expect a big crowd.

Hope it all goes well for Duryea in his final game. He has been a really good pick up for us in that backline.

I wish him well with his future endeavours.

Will be a great opportunity for the likes of Jacques, Dolan, Hynes, Walker, Sellwood etc to experience a Grand Final and what is involved with it.

Hoping we can get some silverware on Sunday.

I’ll confess.

I unfortunately didn’t attend the game on Sunday and just watched it on TV so a bit of a shame.

Just had a lot of trouble with parking in the area so I probably should have taken the tram.

I had some lunch in Yarraville before hand and probably just should have gone straight to the ground.

In saying all that great win and it was a great game and I commend Stewart Edge and the whole VFL program. They are doing heaps right and our AFL program could use some of what they are getting right.

I hate that ground, always have. I ended up tramming it to the ground, but after the game, not a tram in sight, so I walked to Collins st in the city and took the tram from there. Parking in Carlton would have been impossible.

It is a shite ground indeed; dark, dank and outdated, even the newer grandstands IMO are horrible. WO so much more inviting with better viewing and a more open layout that is way more conducive to folks saying hello to each other. Trams were pretty full on the way there from city even worse on way back towards city. Pity Yarra Trams didn’t schedule a few more.

After going on the ground for the presentation and having a kick of the footy with my young bloke there was plenty of room on the tram back to the city.

The only downside was my son getting swooped by a magpie on the walk back to the tram. No blood so can laugh about it now, scared the crap out him though.

Hope Billy Crofts & CCP are given a chance by an AFL side. They’ll give their all. I’m a big fan of Billy. Ready made, footy smarts, tough, pretty skilful too. Not quick but not slow either. And can lay a decent tackle.
