Its amazing that after all these years Schache still can't take a mark above his head under any sort of heat.

Parker, Jones and Bedendo have something to work with.

Sam Day would be handy agree. They have a pretty good list.

Looking at those stats the score line is amazing.

Gold Coast list has a bit of depth now.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Seems to always be 5 - 10 metres out of position.
Not sure if it's a fitness thing or above the shoulders.

Darcy looks very promising. Moves well for a giant.
Jones hits the contest well has a real urgency about him.

Nah, I think it's more that just for the first time in years they have a pretty clean bill of health so they have almost a full strength squad to pick from. Meanwhile we're using the dregs of our VFL list.

So I gotta leave now but I pretty much iso cammed Marra that whole time and feel a lot better about him. He’s working his arse off to help out and give options, there is just less than zero composure from everyone ahead of the CHB line at the moment. There were at least three times he pushed up to make a contest at the get out or second kick, worked back off to make good space to link up and put the ball inside 50, only for his teammates with numbers above 50 to completely miss or ignore him. That just doesn’t happen when you’re playing with good guys.

He’s also directing the forward press and has the kick out set pieces relayed directly to him by the coach, so there’s considerable trust in him.

I’m super frustrated for him because he’s doing all the things that should reward a CHF with possession but the skill gap is yawning.

That’s pretty good news to be honest. The fact that he’s working and not being rewarded by under skilled teammates is about best case scenario for the stats he’s putting up. Hopefully he’s getting positive feedback from the club and is rewarded for his effort level.

Too many of the VFL listed players out there are ineffectual.

It's a poor list, I suspect out budget didn't have the capacity to bring in some better players.

Surprised to see Marra kicked 3 considering some of the comments here.

What did Darcy do to elicit the good vibes? Anything specific or just the way he moves?

Darcy showing signs and Marra kicking 3 are some positives to take out of it. We’ve had a great VFL program since inception so it’s sad to see how weak this group is. A strong VFL team helps the entire list, so I really hope we’re already working on bringing stronger talent in over the off-season.

It is not a coincidence when our vfl team is strong; our afl team is strong and vice versa.

10 players on injury list would inject some more talent into both teams
