BT I?m neutral on Himmleberg. I think we are way down the queue if we are interested.

Personally I wouldn?t be trading our picks for established players. We need to bring younger high end talent in.

If Himmelberg goes for first round compo. Then GWS will have three first rounders ahead of Croft. If not GCS pick, then we might be able to do a trade to get ahead of the bid with GWS. So hopefully he goes somewhere for first round compo to allow GWS to trade a top 10 pick to us if needed.

Also, we need to find another KPD for next year somewhere though.

It's such a hard decision to make and we probably can't make the call until we see where this side finishes.
If that is our approach then would it need to be supported by some trades of established players?
It would be a hard one to explain given we recruited 2 x 30yo last year.

Regardless if we finish 10th or 1st or somewhere in between we need to draft some younger midfielders and mid sized players through the doors. If we don?t we run the big risk of spending time in the bottom four in a few years time.

If we draft the right players no reason they cannot come in and make an immediate impact.

Jade Gresham is still unsigned and apparently St Kilda are happy for him to look around. I'd be keen and hope we're having a chat. He's about to turn 26, has good speed, uses the footy well and I think would be an upgrade on the McNeil / Garcia / West rotation playing in that predominantly small forward role.

Jade Gresham is still unsigned and apparently St Kilda are happy for him to look around. I'd be keen and hope we're having a chat. He's about to turn 26, has good speed, uses the footy well and I think would be an upgrade on the McNeil / Garcia / West rotation playing in that predominantly small forward role.

He will also require a salary equivalent to at least 2 of them.

To me he's one of those classic players that looks like he might be able to add something to another list but it would more likely one of those risky time will tell scenarios. They'd want something in the 2nd round for him perhaps even a bit better than that.
