Anyway, he didn't nominate for the draft.
He played the following week (12/4) after the Werribee game for Airport West - kicked 2 goals and was named in the best.

He then didn't play again until the weekend just gone (24/5) - again kicked 2 goals and named in the best.

Hopefully see him back at VFL level soon.

    Thanks Countrydog.

Thanks, pencilling his name in for Ron.

While we have 2 list spots open we could pass on the last pick if the players we have on the short list are selected by other clubs. I mean it's probably doubtful that they all go but you never know.
With some doubts on the future of Marra and maybe Liam Jones and Coffield I wouldn't have minded us taking a flyer on a KPP but it seems unlikely.

By the way the omen bet is that we select Lucas Herbert with our 2nd pick. I mean after all he hails from a town called Beveridge

In the time it took me to go back through the team sheets you beat me to it. What Gary said.

Thanks for the updates on here.
Raso, Mclinley and Walker read like a good fit.

Age: 23, Height: 183cm, Position: Defender

Dolphins coach Jackson Kornberg describes his left-footer as a “territory-taker’’. The son of former AFL player Brett Voss kicks the ball a l-o-n-g way and is as tough as cheap steak. Last season he finished third in the best and fairest, averaging 20.8 disposals and 4.8 rebound 50s. “Off halfback, his ability to drive his legs and that powerful left-foot kick … I think he’s trending in a really positive direction,’’ Kornberg said of the former Sandringham Dragon, who has played an important role in Frankston’s rise from the lower rungs of the VFL ladder.

I was surprised that Doc was given another year. He was good against Essendon after the VFL stint but against a good team he lacked the pace, sharpness and capacity to respond under pressure he once had in droves. I don't doubt his work ethic or commitment but he must know its time to switch to full-time coaching.
The sooner we have options to choose for his spot the better.

    Voss looks like a contender.

I do love the idea of taking another clubs' FS (Picken, Dunkley) and we have along proud tradition of tough as nails BP types - what we wouldn't give for a Toohey or Dent.

We have been linked with 2 more names
Zac Walker and Cooper Herbert being added to the list.
Sellwood, McKinlay Raso, Banch and now we've apparently run the ruler over Walker and Herbert.
    Cooper Herbert

    Calder Cannons

    Age: 19, Height: 189cm, Position: Forward/Midfield

A player who attracted a lot of AFL interest late last year, Herbert is an athletic medium forward who can also have a run in the midfield. He has been taking marks and hitting the scoreboard for the Cannons on a regular basis in the early part of this year. Herbert also kicked 3.1 from 15 disposals and six marks in the second Young Guns game earlier this month, putting a bit of his X-Factor on show. “He makes good decisions, hits the scoreboard and is hard to stop in the air for his size,” Calder Cannons talent lead Seb Spagnuolo said. “He plays a bit taller than he is.”

    Ewan Mackinlay

    North Adelaide

    Age: 21, Height: 182cm, Position: Midfield/Forward

“My take is that someone will take Ewan because he has lots of AFL attributes and upside in regards to the way he plays,” former North Adelaide coach Jacob Surjan said. That is as good of a sign as any that Mackinlay is being tracked by AFL clubs. The former Murray Bushranger has captivated onlookers with some freakish snap goals for North Adelaide and can also go through the midfield, averaging 16 disposals, six score involvements and 92 SuperCoach points per game. He was impressive at Gather Round against the VFL with 16 touches, five inside 50s, five tackles and a goal, and he was named as an emergency for SA’s loss WA on Saturday.

    Zac Walker

    Gippsland Power

Age: 19, Height: 191cm, Position: Defender

Walker was added to the Power list as an over-age player after strong form in the West Gippsland league, where he kicked 13 goals in 16 games with nine mentions in the best against men for grand finalist Phillip Island. But it has been down back where Walker turned heads in his first two games Power, with his reading of the play, strong hands overhead and footskills standing out. Walker clunked eight intercept marks among 10 total intercepts in his Coates Talent League debut and followed with another seven marks from the opposition and 12 intercepts in his next match. His hot start earnt him a Young Guns opportunity, where he had 12 touches and four rebound 50s against Vic Metro.
