    My moves...

    1. I'd be trying my backside off to get some kind of trade value out of McNeil
    2. Retire L Jones, Treloar and Duryea
    3. Delist Gardner, Coffield and Poulter
    4. Trade Marra
    5. Last chance saloon with Baker, Scott and A Jones and a beautiful swansong finale for the clubs only North Smith medalist JJ

He can go. We can then have a decent player play 20 games instead of 2

I'm fine with the running joke but when people who should know better go googling info I take the time to maintain here it's a little frustrating.

    Duryea - gold watch
JJ - Bullgod forever, gold watch
Baker - just not up to it
Poulter (if OOC) - ditto Baker
Scott (if OOC) - i like Scott and a very neat player, but his body and concussions.

I'd even consider delisting Gardner too even with a year left, surely he's on minimum?

Coffield, Liam Jones, Treloar and Libba 1 year deals, they can become part of our depth and can have an impact if their bodies hold up especially the older three if they want to play on minimum chips, in fact as of this week Busslinger is now taking Liam's spot, and Liam has to earn it back if he's up to it for the rest of the season and beyond, Buss will time to time fluff a few, but then so did Lake and his constant brain fades, but i've seen enough at VFL level that he's always in the right positions and get's plenty of it, he was BOG last week v Brissy.
This is not the year to cut deep with a heavily compromised and shallow draft. Perhaps if we are able to bring in 3 or 4 players through trade we could cut a little deeper as I can't see us taking too many picks in the drafts. We have also essentially taken Walker as a 2025 draft pick 6 months early (and need to delist someone just for his spot).

You would never delist a model citizen like Gardner under contract. It would be a good way to get opposition players to avoid coming to us in the future.

We have paid too much in last few years for no play. Smith, Jamarra, Weightman and Treloar. Surely we need to be careful with someone like Treloar where we know he cannot fulfill his playing duties. Player managers keep wanting to lock them in whether they play or injured for the full season. We seem to have bad luck recently.
It doesn't quite work that way but in essence the better way to approach this is to give him a fair money contract and an appropriate incentive if he stays on the park. Min contracts they way you have described it are insulting.
I'm all for being careful with a contract for an often injured player but you have to show respect towards a great club man otherwise other players won't buy into the club over the longer term.

I'm sure Treloar is open to that.

I was on board with getting Coffield on the list he was pretty much a free option.

I watched him closely in the VFL on Sunday and his one wood which is intercept marking deserted him even at the lower level and he turned the ball over under little pressure. I know he is still young but he has the biggest 5 weeks of his career coming up to stay on the list, he is up against IMO.

Libba and Adz get another year each if medical signs off on it. I think Sellwood has shown enough to deserve another 12 months and a full pre season, assuming he has approached everything professionally.

Arty and Coffield next most likely to get one year deals.

JJ, Baker, Poulter, Scott - all depth players who have struggled to impact when they've come in at AFL this season.

I think Liam Jones and Duryea are no chance.

I think it's good timing indeed for the bottom 4 can't see them on a list next year.

Does dads army at Collingwood influence our decision on the senior citizens? Arty I would like to give 1 more year, but can understand if we let him go.
