    Bou on Nick.

There's a good test for the lad. Very good test of where he would be at/is it.

Held him well in the practice match . Sautner is strong on the lead but Boumann has good closing speed and could hurt him going the other way also.

He beat him in one of the practice games a few weeks back and he will have guys like Meyer and Cloke in the back line as well.

          Crystal Ball for me guys.

From Jesse Wells to (Rookie) Tommy Gun to Sedat, to Lake to Chris Grant.

Where is the boy likely to end up. I like his height, closing speed spunds great, knows when to jump, plays well against men at VFL level- attitude has and maybe still is in question.

Without my holding this thread upon you in open court, where will he be if the attitude remains good in that range?

I'll take the easy road, if I look past his concentration issues, Boumann has the ability to be a Luke McPharlin type capable of play both ends of the ground but probably never dominating for 4 quarters.

              On this scenario:

Picked in the first 18 every week?

              Hoping to be 18-22?

22-26 Hoping for a few injuries?

              Getting a game in 2009?

We won't see him until 2010 at the earliest I wouldn't have thought but he does have ability to become a regular by 2011. It's all up to him though and the coaching crew can only take him so far.

Boumann has the ability to play as a forward and as a back. I think he prefer to play forward.
best case scenario is that he plays like McPharlin, worst case is that he could be another McDougall.

Guys, did Jamason Daniels play on the weekend? He is one player that, in the medium to long term, could provide some much-needed pace to the line-up. Also did Tim Callan get up for the clash, and if so, how did he go?

So Reid and O'Keefe are the 2 best performed VFL players and the next in line to play AFL - we cannot possibly carry Cross, Boyd, Gia, Addison, Ward, Picken, Reid and O'Keefe in the same team.

Comrade can probably answer about Daniels but I don't think he played. Callan was solid again and should be promoted.

Has to come into the side. The team lacked concentration and intensity all over the ground yesterday.

Rocco will be horrified to hear that!

What next, Tommy Gun was a failure on the rookie list too?

It wasn't helped by the fact that he had just made the play by delivering the ball to Addison. In turn Addison turned the ball over which caught Harbrow out of position. Yeah his effort in this situation was poor, but over the course of the game I thought Harbrow did a very good defensive job on Betts and ran off him and was creative with ball when the opportunity arose.

                                Just one for the mods.

I don't understand why the Williamstown game thread is on the State League Football Board. There is no discussion of the non-bulldogs aligned players or anything at all to do with Williamstown's overall form or their ladder position etc. The discussion is all about the Bulldogs players and as such I believe it should be on the Bulldogs Unleashed Board.

Alternatively, could we sticky a thread on the main board titled "Bulldogs Reserves form guide" where we just discuss discuss bulldogs listed players performances in the twos. Then we could keep a Williamstown game day thread on the State League board for discussion about Williamstown.
