He did play, and very well.

Repelled a lot of attacks and was hard and tough in trying conditions. I think he copped a corky/knock to the knee late though?

He continues to put his hand up but IMO Everitt deserves a run.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

      Maybe even Reid too.
Is O'Keefe going help with the lack of pace we had today?

Perhaps, perhaps not. Cam Wight is quick though....

Who are the quick players who didn't play?

Lynch - is hardly setting the world on fire.

          Wood - just going.

The rest are playing ressie's.... We aren't exactly blessed with a pacey list.

oh and Cooney, he goes ok.

What made his game that much better was that the ball wasn't down in the backline that mush at all either. When it was there though he did the right things.

What was his game like compared to Everitt?

I'd be interested in Comrades view but I just thought he was more decisive than Everitt not that Everitt wasn't a good player on the day.

                  GVG,

                  A) What more does Everitt have to do get into thne team.

                  B) Why is Tiller rated more highly?

Tiller just hit every contest as hard as possible, and made good decisions but I love Everitt's attacking instincts. He also took some strong marks, which in the conditions, were quite impressive.

Good question for the coach I would think but my guess is that Eade doesn't believe that Everitt can play on taller opponents. With Morris and Hargrave playing more on the midsized or tallish forwards Everitt might have a struggle despite his form.

Tiller might be rated higher because towards the end of last year he played well for Williamstown against a some AFL players like Nathan Thompson and then preformed well in the finals. I think Tiller is rated as someone who can play on taller opponents if required.

Tiller has shown more a senior level than Everitt this year. Attacks the ball harder & plays tighter in the backline.

Everitt is a year or two behind him in development too.

Say next year, where do Lake, Williams, Tiller, Everitt, Hargy, Morris, Addo, and Gils and TimmyCall all fit???

Tiller should eventually be played as a forward in my opinion and if Williams can get close to full season of footy behind him might be tried as a forward next year.

How long is eventually with Stevey. A tall target now would be nice...

If he is not in the seniors again next week I'd be inclined to play him as a forward against Sandy. Bring back Boumann to play on Sautner.
