VFL teams are notoriously hard to predict on a Thursday so I won't rant too much, but surely Wood will play seniors despite being named in the reserves starting 18 - and Boumann still can't get named in the seniors...

I wish that the scheduling could have been better for this game. I think Werribee will prove to be a strong outfit this year and this should be a great encounter. Looks like it will have to be recorded though.

Damn shame - I would've loved to have watched the ressies as well.

Good to see Mulligan named, I wonder if he'll play.

Wight, Cloke, Egan, Gotch and Cordy are not named in the reserves so I assume they will all play seniors.

Typically they only name 4, naming 5 usually means that 5 rather than 4 will play with the Dogs.

So you would assume Wood will definitely play reserves then.

Didn't do a lot last week, so may be dropped. I would like to see Stack step up and start to get some confidence and play well.

Interesting that Easton has been dropped. Watched him against the Pies and thought he got "lost" on several instances. Hope he can get back in the first team as i think he has alot of potential.

He may not have set the world on fire but his attack on the ball was second to none and his upside is enormous. He has the build and speed to become a very good player, his disposal has improved over the summer and other than missing a week due to a bursa on the knee, his practice match form has been impressive.

Remember, he is still very much developing after choosing footy late and IMO would get more out of playing against bigger bodies and AFL listed players in Williamstown seniors than against the battlers in the reserves.

                    Not necessarily.

From those sides, 4 (perhaps 5 if my theory is correct) will still play for the Dogs as all 7 listed interchange players get named for Willi.

That's why 12 players get named on the bench, only 4 (or 3) of the 12 named interchange play reserves.

Stupid ABC, I would have gone to this game had it been on Saturday.

ABC's fault or just VFL scheduling?

Interesting to see Cloke named as he came off early in the first Quarter I really hoped Shaw or bauman would come in

No idea. It was originally schedule for today. The VFL wonder why there league is going down the toilet but they bow to the AFL all the time. Why are basically forced to watch Collingwood vs Essendon today?
