Did any one see any of the Saints emergencies playing? I am wondering if Kosi will play?
McEvoy didn't play which suggests Kosi will be out - good for us. But with Tiller and Everitt missing, you'd think that Williams is definitely out and most likely Murphy as well. I'm hoping we see one of Everitt or Tiller played as a permanent forward tomorrow.

Why do you think Murphy is out? Maybe it could be Cooney? Or are either Tiller and Everitt injuried?
Very unlikely 2 changes will be made.
Legal Willy Wacthers, who put their hands up and is ready to come back into the side.

I've cleaned up the off topic posts.
For me, as good as Ward was he needs another week getting a heap of the ball.
There were a number of good players today but no one knocked the door down for a senior spot.
Reids doing a lot without dominating but he isn't a player that will ever really dominate.
Skipper is playing well but isn't even making the emergencies list.
O'Keefe had a quiet game but must have some credits.
Wood would only get a game if there was a specific match-up in mind.
Grant is doing OK but I don't think he was ready last week.
In summary, a lot of good options but not a genuine standout.
Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"
Pristine conditions didn't test it at all but I saw no real errors with it.
I'm not sure if it's a technical issue but I'd probably lean towards the fact that he hasn't come from a traditional footy background. It will get better but might never be a real strength.
I saw him in one of his first outings with us at Carlton early last year when he injured his wrist. He was noticeably worse then with his kicking action. I'd say it's definately getting better.
He tends to drop the ball a little funny, generally from too high and takes the hands away, opening him to more chance of a bad drop on to his boot.
When he kicks it right he can kick quite long and straight. I would say he is particularly good at kicking to a pinpoint position on a lead as much as he kicks a bit high like Hahn.
He's no worse than Crossy, but has more penetration. For an inside midfielder he's not too bad.

Miles was also missing. I spoke to a St.Kilda official who was adamant that Kosi would play. He told me that the hamstring injury was extremely minor and that he probably could have played last week.... Not sure how much spin was involved.
Guy O'Keefe - a very quiet game by his high standards this year. Was moved out to the HFF to provide Ward with more time in the middle and was nowhere near as prominent as previous weeks.
Why couldn't he and Ward both play in the middle together?
Are they very similar in playing styles and do you think this will affect them both playing together in the Doggies side?
And thanks for the reports GVGjr, comrade and others.
You must not have seen him much because he has played better than that. He did some exciting things but he was inconsistent and wayward with his defensive efforts.
You're probably right, I have only seen him in action 6 or 8 times. Yesterday I thought his defensive efforts were quite good.

It's easily the best game he's played this year, and arguably the best I've seen him play also (giving up 2 late goals took some gloss off). He's a confidence player who is prone to fumbling when not 'on' and can easily fade out of games but yesterday he was lively and attacking, and his hands were very clean. And as you said, defensively he was good - some of his marking was fantastic.
It's a shame next week's game is at Frankston on Mother's Day as I'd love to see how he backs up. 1 good performance a month won't cut it so I hope he takes some confidence from yesterday's game and builds on it.
Just a question - where do you see him fitting into a Bulldogs lineup, based on our current 22? He's played a majority of his football for Willy in a half back/midfield role - would it be worth moving him forward as he can take a really strong grab and is probably clever enough to gain some separation from his opponent?
