Players wearing black boots... They'd want to perform if they're going attract that sort of attention to themselves.

Yeah, I agree unfortunately, as I really like how Wood plays and what he offers. He does go missing at times and his disposal is still a work in progress, so maybe a run in the 2's could do him some good.

There's no question though, that based on performance, Lynch needs to play seniors very soon.

The sign of great depth in the list, but Lynch is miles too good for VFL ressies. I watched him in the flesh a few weeks back, and he was just so far above that level and has put 3 weeks together. I think it's time someone makes space. It might be tough, but that's a deep list for you.

Excellent reports by all! Pity about the loss

Good to see Boumann continue his form.

thanks for posting the photo mighty_west, and i agree he does have a bit of EJ styling kicking going by that photo, its what i said as soon as i saw it, if my computer wasnt so slow and all that, id put more photos up.

Nice day down at Williamstown today, although it was a bit strange when all the fog came over the ground, then disappeared, it got cold towards the end of the game, but wasnt to bad.

Im enjoying watching these youg guys coming through, and cant wait to see a few of them in the doggies seniors sometime soon, especially Guy O'Keefe.

I though Jordan Roughead was good in the ressies, and Lynchy, well i just hope he starts playing some good footy and gets into the doggies team, although i dont think he'll be on our list next year.

I really enjoy reading these posts as its great to keep up with how the development of the young guys is going.

How is Boumann's strength going, I mean is he putting on some muscle?

Any player threatening the seniors at this stage? Maybe Callan?

Pleasing that O'Keefe is continually putting his hand up for selection. Although he hasn't played an AFL game yet, he could be a really good pick-up at Pick 60 odd?

Very encouraging to hear the raps on Boumann too. He really seems to be improving every week and pretty quickly when you consider where he was coming from just over a year ago.

I haven't seen any of the games this year, but those that have, does Boumann look to have the talent to make the AFL grade? He could be a real smokey from the clouds if he keeps improving.

Good to hear Boumann is putting in consistent performances and effort.

Hopefully he plays 2009 out in the seniors and has a massive pre-season. Might see some more KPPs coming on in 2010 if he Grant and Cordy are in the mix.

You get the feeling someone's going to have to do something special to get into our backline, but one of these will hopefully move forward.

Guys thanks for the reports. Its nice to get a feel for how some of our developing players are going. Personally I´d hope that Boumann is persisted with in the Willi 1´s for the balance of the season. Will help him a lot. I´d also like to see Everitt, O´Keefe and Reid all pish for a senior game with the Bulldogs.

                          I have two concerns though:

One point its seesm the general consensus is that Addison played poorly. No one doubts his commitment at the ball and his hardness, but is that enough to hold down a regular spot in the Bulldogs side? If not which of the young guys do Willi watcher see as stepping up to take his place?

Point 2 is Stack. Is he up to it and how long do we persist with him on the list beyond 2009?

The same week he was injured he was named an emergency for the Dogs team after 3 or 4 pretty reasonable games for Williamstown. This past game was his first back after a couple of weeks so maybe he was short of a run.

He no doubt has some talent, but it will be very important that he plays well for the remainder of the season as to ensure his position on the list for the 2010 season. In saying that I think his talents are well regarded by the coaching staff who will be keen to give him a taste at some point this year.

Boumann looks to be getting bigger, but still needs to put on some size, hopefully not at the expense of his dash, which was really impressive yesterday.

Out of the game, Callan should probably come back in, with Everitt and O'Keefe not far behind.

Gents- just wondering if anyone can tell me how Shannon Watt went for Nth Ballarat...I didn't get a chance to get there yesterday - but noticed he kicked a goal (which is not a common occurance!).
