Yeah, I agree unfortunately, as I really like how Wood plays and what he offers. He does go missing at times and his disposal is still a work in progress, so maybe a run in the 2's could do him some good.
There's no question though, that based on performance, Lynch needs to play seniors very soon. Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.Comment

Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
thanks for posting the photo mighty_west, and i agree he does have a bit of EJ styling kicking going by that photo, its what i said as soon as i saw it, if my computer wasnt so slow and all that, id put more photos up.
Nice day down at Williamstown today, although it was a bit strange when all the fog came over the ground, then disappeared, it got cold towards the end of the game, but wasnt to bad.
Im enjoying watching these youg guys coming through, and cant wait to see a few of them in the doggies seniors sometime soon, especially Guy O'Keefe.
I though Jordan Roughead was good in the ressies, and Lynchy, well i just hope he starts playing some good footy and gets into the doggies team, although i dont think he'll be on our list next year.Comment

Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
I really enjoy reading these posts as its great to keep up with how the development of the young guys is going.
How is Boumann's strength going, I mean is he putting on some muscle?
Any player threatening the seniors at this stage? Maybe Callan?FFC: Established 1883

Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
Pleasing that O'Keefe is continually putting his hand up for selection. Although he hasn't played an AFL game yet, he could be a really good pick-up at Pick 60 odd?
Very encouraging to hear the raps on Boumann too. He really seems to be improving every week and pretty quickly when you consider where he was coming from just over a year ago.
I haven't seen any of the games this year, but those that have, does Boumann look to have the talent to make the AFL grade? He could be a real smokey from the clouds if he keeps improving.W00F!Comment

Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
Good to hear Boumann is putting in consistent performances and effort.
Hopefully he plays 2009 out in the seniors and has a massive pre-season. Might see some more KPPs coming on in 2010 if he Grant and Cordy are in the mix.
You get the feeling someone's going to have to do something special to get into our backline, but one of these will hopefully move forward.Comment

Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
Guys thanks for the reports. Its nice to get a feel for how some of our developing players are going. Personally I´d hope that Boumann is persisted with in the Willi 1´s for the balance of the season. Will help him a lot. I´d also like to see Everitt, O´Keefe and Reid all pish for a senior game with the Bulldogs.
I have two concerns though:
One point its seesm the general consensus is that Addison played poorly. No one doubts his commitment at the ball and his hardness, but is that enough to hold down a regular spot in the Bulldogs side? If not which of the young guys do Willi watcher see as stepping up to take his place?
Point 2 is Stack. Is he up to it and how long do we persist with him on the list beyond 2009?Comment

Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
He no doubt has some talent, but it will be very important that he plays well for the remainder of the season as to ensure his position on the list for the 2010 season. In saying that I think his talents are well regarded by the coaching staff who will be keen to give him a taste at some point this year.Comment

Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
Out of the game, Callan should probably come back in, with Everitt and O'Keefe not far behind.- I'm a visionary - Only here to confirm my biases -Comment
