My understanding is it was a minor injury but I'm not 100% if it was more serious or not.

Is there such a thing when it comes to Tom?

I'll only add a few comments as others have done a great job:

Grant was started on the bench - was he being sent a message by Gotch? When he came on he seemed more bubbly than I'd seen for weeks - coincidentally it coincided with his best performance for a long time. As has already been mentioned, his hands were very clean in average conditions and his leading was an improvement on previous weeks. He's an unselfish player, always looking to give the ball off rather than blaze away.

He was ignored by his Willy teammates on a number of times in favour of Little, even if Little was being double teamed and despite being in a better position - he seemed to keep his frustration in check. Much better signs...

Reid did a mountain of inside work - his body is ready for AFL footy and a debut probably isn't far away.

Everitt's foot skills were sublime and shone like a beacon on a day when most really struggled judging the conditions. Addison's kicking was average in the first half but improved - his tackling was as fierce as ever.

Tim Callan was great against two handy types in Stokes and Varcoe - it's good to have someone of his ilk ready to step in when necessary.

Roughy looked comfortable at senior level - his snap on the run put a smile on my face.

A good win, Willy took the foot off in the last and their rotations weren't helped by losing both Williams and Cordy in the 3rd.

Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

                Thanks for the reports guys.

Great to see Everitt & Stack continuing there good form, our football club will always be better off with guys pushing the senior players at Whitten Oval.

Reading from reports, it seems as though Grant might be starting to turn the corner a bit?

Hopefully he keeps improving his game at Willy, and maybe get a couple of chances again this year for the Dogs. I don't think he will play any significant role for us this season, but i am really expecting him to come on next year & try to cement a spot in the Dogs team.

I hope Williams & Cordy are both ok.

I also ventured down today with DexterT, met up with GVGjr.

Thought Wighty played pretty well, was solid down back, Reid also good, Roughead, he's a BIG unit that kid, kicked a beauty from 45 metres out.

little & Rose to me, are a class about that level, and Pods, doesn't mind pushing his opponent out to take a few grabs, a bit disappointing to let Geelong kick 8 in the final term, would have been a great percentage booster.

Was a little suprised the final term only lasted 30 minutes, considering 13 goals were kicked.

                    Gee it was bloody cold!

The wind was blowing very strongly & I mean very strongly so kicking with any accuracy was extremely difficult. The higher you kicked it, the further the wind took it.

Not really to much to add from what others have reported. I did see Callan Ward, Josh Hill, Jarred Harbrow & Jamieson Daniels looking on. I felt sorry for Jarred Harbrow, he looked like he was about to freeze to death!

Saw plenty of Woofers including Bornadog, Strebla, Mantis, Comrade, Mofra, Rocco Jones, FDOTM & Minson27.

Yet the players kept kicking the ball high, i dont think they(both teams) use the wind that well today, althought Williamstows kicking for goal was much much better that Geelong.

Stephen tiller, and Easton Wood were also there, and Mitch hahn and Benny hudson were up in the stand.

I'm sure you are referring to Reid but it wasn't clear from what you quoted.
To make it easier for others you could highlight any comments in bold that you think are more pertinent or edit the quote to the specific comment that you are responding to.

With the Doggies not playing this week some more reports to come would be fantastic for those how couldn't make the game. Are you doing one Coon Dog?
A big thanks to all of you who have already supplied reports.

No, I leave that up to the regular 'Willy Watchers'. I am too busy when I'm there chatting with other Woofers & keeping an eye on my son.
