I know my avatar (and signature) doesn't lend my rant much credibility, but hopefully my fellow WOOFer's will judge it on it's merits
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Plus, Wight is gone at the end of the year, so why keep investing time and energy in him when those resources are much better placed in someone who has a future at our club.

Rocket needs to put the squeeze on Gotch and get him on the same page.
What if Lake gets injured as well?

Would Wight or Boumann come in?
      The curse is dead.

Rocket has stated that GOK is not fit enough for AFL, so i doubt he will get a game this year

Actually comrade that is something I was forgetting with Gotch. It really is a conflict of interest either way.

                    Re: Williamstown vs Collingwood

Let's see what nuggets of insight Chris Maple has for us this week:

It’s time again to catch up with Western Bulldogs Development Coach Chris Maple following last weekend’s game against Collingwood. Chris thanks for joining us, were you happy with the performance on the weekend?

Thanks David it’s a pleasure to be here. It was an excellent result for Williamstown, after two defeats in a row it was good to get back on the winners list with a 65 point win over the Magpies. And the Reserves followed suit with a pleasing result against the Northern Bullants.

Collingwood fielded a very strong side, because of a relatively healthy Senior list and the Willamstown boys played some tough football to get the points with a strong victory.

It certainly was a fantastic performance from the boys, especially with the Reserves taking care of the Northern Bullants. Which Western Bulldogs listed players lined up in the Seniors and the Reserves last weekend?

In the Seniors we had Henry White, Tim Callan, Andrjes Everitt, Wayde Skipper, Guy O’Keefe, Cam Wight, Jordan Roughead, Brennan Stack Jarrad Grant, and Stephen Tiller.

While lining up for the Reserves were Malcolm Lynch, Jamason Daniels, John Shaw, Ayce Cordy, Jarrad Boumann, Paul O’Shea, Liam Jones and Chris Ogle.

                    Who were the standout players?

In the Seniors, Henry White had an excellent game in defence, Wayde Skipper was consistent all day again and Stephen Tiller had a solid return to football after several weeks out.

While for the Reserves Jamason Daniels was outstanding until he was injured in the third quarter, Malcolm Lynch kept on racking up possessions, Jarrad Boumann was very good in defence and John Shaw had a good day in the ruck.

Which players are pushing for Senior selection at the Western Bulldogs at the moment?

After a fantastic performance by the Bulldogs in Brisbane, it is difficult to work your way into the side. In saying that Tim Callan, Andrjes Everitt, Brennan Stack, Stephen Tiller, Wayde Sipper and Guy O’Keefe will all be pressing for selection.

It’s fantastic to have that pressure on the AFL side, especially since there were no injuries to report over the weekend in the VFL. How would you rate the performance of the Western Bulldogs boys?

All players had good games and performed well applying pressure to the players in the seniors. A highlight of the day was Rookie Henry White’s game in defence and the return of Stephen Tiller and Tim Callan after injury.

Looking ahead, who should we keep our eye on?

Jordan Roughead is a young 1st year ruckman who is showing a lot of promise. Generally tall young players take more time to develop but Jordan has shown that he will be a very good player in the future. His centre bounce work is very good, and with some more confidence, continued work with on his contested marking and general positioning he has the potential to become a very good player.

Great stuff Chris, it all bodes well for the boys to have a really strong tilt at this year’s Finals. I look forward to catching up with you next week...Go Dogs!
So from that I can gather that Henry White had a solid outing and Tiller got through unscathed.

Oh, and Roughead shows a lot of promise
