BT, I like the look of that forward line in the reserves, with Cordy at centre half forward and Jones at full forward.
I’ve got a feeling you do, too.
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. I do.
Jones could be anything, just the way he moves and has presence, and kicks goals and takes big marks, and dynamic speed on the lead, and sticky hands. I don't want to pressure him, but there is just soo much to like.
Same as Cordy. Obviously being light framed he needs a lot more time, but he has a lot of admirers from the WBFC and outside.
If Roughy and Grant come on as hoped, i really think we have a very good nucleus of tall forwards. We need to make sure we can supply them with enough small forwards. Whether that's Lynch and Stack, or we need to look at others, only time will tell.
With these kids coming on, it releases the run of the Bou who looks to me like a raw version of Brian. If Tommy and Andreajs with Stevey T can hold their spots, then you can see a very good spine in 2 or 3 years. I think the challenge now is to be able to replace the talent that will be gone by then. Assuming we get Hall, outs include: Johno, Aker, Hall, Eagle, Welsh, Hahn and on the decline include Gia, Murphy and maybe Cross and a few others.
There are some big shows to fill. I think what Aker and Johno offers us in pure class will be very difficlt to fill. But some outside runners and another small forward would be good, together with another tall defneder and a ruck.
But back to topic, I love Jones

I'm staying at a friends in Ashwood - could any of your Victorian's enlighten me as to how far away it would be frome me? Would be pretty keen to come out and have a look on Sunday. I've got a car for the weekend, so driving is no issue.

IF the match is at Casey Fields, that's about 40-odd minutes from Ashwood.

I'm only about 5 minutes from Ashwood. It would be about a 30 minute drive out to Casey. Once you get on the Monash highway you will make good time.
Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"
Obviously the reserves had a thumping win but some of our boys really put in selfish performances.
Cordy did some nice things but his kicking for goal was poor.
Jones held a lot of marks mind you he was 10cm taller than his opponent but couldn't handle the conditions with his kicking.
Lynch did some great things but in patches.
Mulligan, Shaw, Wight and Ogle all played.

Surely, surely, surely, suuuuurely, he is done for.
