Have to agree Mantis. Have not been a skinny fan because of this but was impressed with this side of his game today.
Think that at this time of his career he really needs to be playing senior football. he is not getting the opportunities thus far and think that he will be a fair trade chip to have come trade week.

Thanks anfo27, if someone would like to do a match report on the bulldog players for us poor interstate supporters, would be nice.

          Thanks in advance.

A quick summary for the reserves who had a good win

Daniels spent his day in the midfield pushing forward. Was the best of the Bulldog boys.
Mulligan didn't do a lot early on before have a better second half and kicking a nice goal on the run. He played everywhere.
            Tutt was very quiet.
            Prato missed through injury.

No news flash that I'm an idiot, but for I prove it so for a different reason today - I completely forgot about this one, so much so that I was at Preston Market today and saw the ABC trucks across the road and did a bit of Homer Simpson putting 2 & 2 together.

So I wandered across and saw most of the 2nd half live - I thought Tim Callan was the best of the 2nd half. Eagleton had some touches but nothing special while Skinny & Hill were amongst it.

11.11-77 Northern Bullants defeated by 23.12-150 Williamstown

                      Northern Bullants
                      Goal Kickers: B. Fisher 2, A. Saad 2, J. Anderson, S. Jacobs, L. Casboult, R. Gale, T. Thomas, M. Davies, A. Arrowsmith
                      Best Players: J. McCorkell, M. Robinson, S. Jacobs, S. Browne, J. Anderson, A. Iacobucci
                      Williamstown
                      Goal Kickers: P. Rose 6, M. Little 5, B. Jolley 2, A. Hooper 2, M. Panos 2, B. Davies, L. Jones, P. Faulks, D. Stretton, M. Cravino, A. Everitt
                      Best Players: P. Faulks, P. Rose, T. Callan, L. Jones, A. Everitt, D. Addison

With the game being on TV and given I spent most of the game chatting to Howard Leigh I didn't take notes like I would normally. Arm wrestle for the first half before the Seagulls got in to gear. The Bullants did a great job in the first half of applying a lot of defensive pressure to our defenders which stopped a lot of the creative run from defence. This normally sets up a lot of goals.

                      For the Bulldogs listed players.

Markovic - Played as a defender but also assisted in the ruck. He is still underdone with fitness but was pretty solid today and used the ball OK.

Boumann - Not a great game but not a bad one either. Was pitted against Fisher and was beaten but battled away hard. Still persisting with the short kicking which is frustrating.

Callan - Solid 4 quarter effort as a BP or across HB. Got a fair bit of the football and was tough in the contests. Definitely one of the better players.

Addison - Played in the midfield and was nowhere near as prominent as last week. Was still a decent contributor and like Callan a tough nut in the contests.

Eagleton - Midfielder who did some nice things but wasn't a game breaker. Nothing to get excited about.

Rose - Clearly the best Bulldog on the park and had a couple of great bursts in the 3rd and 4th quarters where he out positioned his opponent and taking marks. Wasted some shots but kicked 6 goals. Very smart game from him today.

Minson - Had a number of hit-outs but didn't get a lot of the ball. Seemed to struggle to get through the game and was a little proppy. Will be better for the run.

Hill - played as a forward and spent some time on the wing. Whilst he was quiet, I think he worked harder defensively than previous games. A good game will get him back into the mix for senior selection.

                      Howard
                      - Started on the IC bench and when on the ground moved straight into a defensive job. He was better than the previous week and I'll mention again that his kicking was quite good. He still has a long way to go but he will get better.

Hooper - Played as a FP but also seemed to get into the back half as well. Very creative player and he laid some great tackles. DaDruid and an old feisty Carlton lady mixed it up over Hooper Shame on you DaDruid Hooper kicked a couple of goals.

Panos - Started on the IC bench and when on the ground moved up forward. Kicked a great goal in the first half and then slotted through another goal later on. He still does not appear to be the fittest he could be but he does have a footy brain.

Everitt - Started off as the CHF and provided a lot of support to Minson in the ruck. He should have impressed the coaches with his efforts because he was very competitive all game. Kicked a goal.

Jones - Very quiet first half before starting to take some marks in the 2nd half and really finishing the game nicely. Added a goal as well. He can really take a contested grab and was a good contributor.

Thanks for that GVGjr, much appreciated.

Good to see Rose still playing good footy, would love to see how he handles a taste of AFL footy at some stage.

GVGjr summed it up pretty much, I was very pleased with Jones. I thought Jones was very good today, took 9 marks and had 16, or 17 possessions.
