Not bad. Looked to be short of a run but he didn't do a lot wrong.

        Thanks for that.

I get the feeling he's going to be unlucky at the end of the year, which is a real shame as this year was ruined by injury much like the last. He's shown some good signs for us at times so I'm kind of hopeful he gets another run next year. Perhaps even as a rookie listed player if need be.

Shame he missed games late in the season. Would've been a much better option than Hahn. It's a shame full stop he hasn't been able to get consistant game time since the swans final in 2008.

I didn't mean it like that.

Higgins got heaps of touches but a lot of them were from recieving a handball from a teammate in an identical position.

It bumps up the possesion count but the only possible team benefit was that Higgins is a much better ball user than say, a Grossman (who would be an AFL player if his kicking wasn't so dreadful)

Grossman played very well yesterday and there was a mark I think in the 2nd quarter where he backed into the pack and took a heavy knock but still held it. He seemed real shocked we he got caught running with the ball because it doesn't happen when he is at full pace. He just didn't see the guy coming in from the side.
All the smaller guys like Lockwood, Johnson, Davies Carr, Rampe, German and Grossman did their jobs and given the conditions were probably the catalyst for the win.

He's missed a bit of football and yes it's a shame yesterday wasn't his 2nd game back.

I'm not sure what we should do with Tiller in terms of keeping him on the list because as you say the progress he made in 2008 hasn't been backed up consistently over the last 2 years.

I'm not sure he will be delisted. He seems to be rated by the club, and with all of Akermanis, Johnson, Eagleton, Hahn, Callan and Thorne highly possible departures it might foe down to whether he is a better option than a pick 60 odd player or not.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Isn't that the same logic that kept Callan, Eagleton and Akermanis on the list this year?
We have had minimal changes over the last 2 seasons and I can see no good reason to keep players on the list if they aren't measuring up.

From what I've read on here, my understanding was that the problem with Tiller has been more that he's had injuries which have restricted him from having consistent game time. If that's accurate, I don't think it's fair to delist him. He's shown, albeit a couple of years ago, that he has a fair bit of talent in him.

Perhaps a bit harsh on Tiller who has struggled with injury since a terrific performance in 2008 finals. He is only 23 and has shown enough competitive spirit to be perservered with unless his injury problems are such that he cannot shake them.

Dale Morris was 23 when he debuted.

I'm not sure it's just injuries that have slowed his career and I suppose there has to come a time where we ask the question if he is worth persevering with. As I originally mentioned I don't know what we should do with Tiller and I have factored in his run of injuries.

If he was fit and match hardened, I think Tiller would be the best "like for like" replacement for either Morris or Hargrave. And no, I am not saying he is the same style or as good as, either of these two. Simply, that on our list, if fit, I think he would be the next best option. He can play tall or small. Is hard at the ball, has run (though disposal can be suspect) and reasonable pace.

I would like to keep him for at least one more year.

That's the problem, though. I have no confidence in him playing on a small at all.
