Re: Round 4- Williamstown vs North Ballarat
He would have to be very close to playing senior footy, in fact I would play him this week against the Demons. Hill is not just a one trick pony, has the agility to have a stint down back or in the ruck.Comment

Having already stated in the press conference he won't be making changes, wondering if the coach has not painted himself into a corner- selection wise. I think most of us would be happy to see at least one or two bold changes in response to the loss. You don't develop courage by being happy in your relationships every day. Re: Round 4- Williamstown vs North Ballarat
It really is about team balance. Cordy is not a genuine forward, he does not have a forwards instinct, Hill does and could offer us a bit. Roughy did not look out of place at CHB, so he stays in.
I really cannot see the forward structure working again with Jones, Cordy, Roughy and Minson. Hill can take a contested mark and can take them on a lead, the latter being the key.Comment

Especially young blokes.
Cordy basically played a lone hand up forward in the second half, kept presenting and making decent position (Jones seemed to drop his head). A guy in his third game getting double teamed constantly, yet still managed to top the team for tackles laid.
Deserves another game - I'd drop Roughy before Cordy, and I think we should so we can bring in another runner.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

I think Jones is close to a stint in the VFL, even withstanding the poor delivery he has received.W00F!Comment

Re: Round 4- Williamstown vs North Ballarat
Jones spent the whole night chasing tail, and doing it with real purpose after we bombed it into him 1 on 3. As usual - as it was for the last 3 years also, whenever we play a good side - we don't have a forward structure whatsoever - we just get dragged up the ground and leave the 1 or 2 forwards left over (who have already run back from the wing) to fight it out outnumbered.
Jones' attitude and competitiveness has been good. He was our only target for most of the Adelaide game and went ok.Comment

I don't at all agree with the bolded!

Cordy however, presented very well and used his body really well on numerous occasions to put himself in the best position to take the mark. Unfortunately he dropped those marks, but we've got to persevere with him for at least a few weeks to see if he can start to clunk them.
I'm not a Cordy apologist, but he continually surprised me with how well he did in the one-on-one and one-on-many contests, and if he can start turning his good positioning into a few contested grabs close to goal then our forward line might start functioning on more than one cylinder.Although it broke our hearts it did not break our willComment

Overall I was pretty pleased with Cordy's endeavour, and as mentioned previously 7 tackles (team leading) indicates that he was trying to be invovled in the game in any way he could. As the old adage goes, it may not be your game but it can be your moment.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment
