It's coming in next year in the WRFL as well. I couldn't help but laugh at the comments the from Deer Park president that the cap system rewards mediocrity and tries to punish clubs like his who set high standards. What a clown, that club couldn't produce a third of the money it spends on players as an operating entity. Club's like that pat themselves on the back like they've done something that no one but them could've, and in 5 years time are at the bottom of division 2 when the money dries up.

Apparently because Fevola hasn't played AFL for over 3 years he is only costing two points.

It will be compulsory across the state next year. AFL Victoria are in the process of finalising it now.

For those that are local footy followers or are involved with a local footy club are your teams playing finals or waiting for next year now to have a crack again?

The fight took place on Sunday afternoon at the under-15 grand final in Hoppers Crossing, in Melbourne's south-west, after two 50-metre penalties were reportedly paid to Point Cook.

Point Cook went on to win the match and shocking footage shows parents and spectators pushing and shoving each other after the final siren.

The fight took place on Sunday afternoon at the under-15s grand final in Hoppers Crossing.
The umpires of the match were reportedly targeted soon after, 3AW reported.

The brawl took place in front of a number of young children.

Ambulance Victoria said a man, aged in his 30s, was reportedly assaulted at the football match and had a minor injury to his upper body.

Police confirmed they were looking into the alleged brawl and there is no suggestion anyone in the footage is part of the investigation.

Our seniors are playing in the grand final for the first time in 21 years tomorrow (1996 was also their last flag). Our ressies are going for a three-peat. Might even be an AFL premiership player running around in the Magoos...

Bit of a David vs Goliath on at 2:20 at Whitten Oval tomorrow.

Sunshine are playing in their first ever WRFL grand final against Deer Park - who won their preliminary final clash by 75 points and are shooting for their fifth flag on the trot.. Think I'll drop by and cheer on Sunshine!...

... it'll bring back memories of cheering on a certain forlorn playing group at the same venue 30 odd years ago!

Greenvale and Aberfeldie are playing in the EDFL A grade Grand Final tomorrow at Windy Hill.
Abers will start favorite as Greenvale will be without Adam Maric who did a hammy last week.He is a huge out as he is one of the favorites to win the B&F for the comp.

Sorry Easty, just saw this. Warragul Industrials Footy Club in the Ellinbank District League. Nathan Ablett played some games for us this year, the senior coach and another senior player are his cousins.

I was lucky enough to play a couple of games with him during the season. Unfortunately we lost the reserves and senior grand finals (seniors by 1 point ).

Spotted Gary Jnr in the crowd on Grand Final day and apparently Gary Snr was there as well. Some kid actually asked Nathan for an autograph on the ground during one of the breaks, he had to politely decline!
